What's nice is...for the 2nd PPV in a row, I really can't predict who's gunna win the Main Event and how everything's gunna play out.

Please don't side CM Punk w/HHH tho, just doesn't make sense. After what Cena said tonight tho, I just can't see Cena turning Heel on all the kiddies.

Also, Rey Mysterio facing the Undisputed Champion the next night on Raw in his hometown of San Diego kinda leads you to believe the Champion leaving Summerslam is gunna be a heel...

All this stream of consciousness leads me to believe there's only one result destined for the end of Summerslam.

The Leaping Twink is a fantastic name for Bourne.

If ADR wins the WWE title at Summerslam, I'm going to puke. The only way I'd be "down" with that is if ADR wins it from Punk and it sets up more between those two. Then ... I could deal with it if done well.

Both guys look like they deserve to be holding the belt, and whoever can manage to defeat the other at Summerslam is going to be respected and look strong when Triple H is standing over them, posing.

Brandon just blew my mind with the whole "R-Truth" section.

I would be ok with ADR leaving as champ if it sets up him as corporate champ to HHH corporation. However I would much rather see HHH screw Punk out of the belt and have Cena turn heel and be the corporate champion.

Fantasy booking: match opens with Cena assaulting HHH, attitude adjustment, five-knuckle shuffle into a Punk GTS and they get a real ref for the match as HHH suffers a broken larynx and is carted off on a stretcher.

Who's with me?

Also, somewhat more seriously, a "Cena/Punk form uneasy alliance to take on evil HHH and his stooge Alberto" has a lot of potential, and would be completely awesome if HHH were not involved at all.

OK, if Brandon thinks the "Five Moves of Doom" started with Bret, he missed Hogan's entire 1980s WWE reign. I mean, wow that's wrong.

You get very defensive any time anyone talks about Bret Hart.

I just hate anti-Bret guys who are flat wrong about what they're saying about him.

Look, if you want to criticize his lack of great mic skills, or say that he was kind of boring, hey, I'm on board. But don't use the "five moves of doom" thing. That's just wrong.

I'm a huge Bret Hart fan, but his endgame sequence was one of the more overt and noticeable ones I can remember. I understand why it gets said. Having signature moves is one thing, but the level of predictability isn't as high with some as it was in a lot of Bret matches. And the thing that I'm sure irks many is that Bret himself then went around telling everyone that Ric Flair just wrestled the same match over and over again. It was very pot-kettle.

Yes, Bret was dumb as hell for his anti-Flair stuff.

Bret changed things up a lot for his big matches ... he still did his three main build-up moves (usually leg sweep, backbreaker, second-rope elbow) in succession but they didn't always lead to the sharpshooter, and in fact he won a lot of his big matches with something other than the sharpshooter. Now, in non-big matches against underneath guys, yeah, Bret was pretty predictable.

I've never understood the Bret-Flair disrespect, in both directions.

Isn't Flair the reason that Bret's first world title win didn't get televised? I have to think it started there.

I'm not sure if Flair demanded that, or it was Vince who decided himself.

I know Bret wasn't a fan of Flair's ad-libbing during matches ... in that title match Flair kicked Bret off and Bret dislocated a finger on the second rope while falling into the corner. I got the sense from Bret's book that for whatever reasons the two of them just didn't click great in the ring. I think they probably both formed incorrect opinions/conclusions from that.

I would love this.

Is it weird that I'm hoping Miz's match at SS is a tag match with RTruth and they become tag champs? The belts mean so little, but I think it would be awesome for both Miz and Truth as they really have nothing to do right now.

Not nearly as weird as it is that you're being left to hope about what's on the card rather than knowing what it is five days before the big PPV.

I want clear, third biggest PPV, which should be blowing of feuds. Not the third biggest ppv that blows off feuds. You are 100% right that the rumble is more of a starter of feuds.

Btw, basically the only way HHH gets involved and I don't hate it is if he screws over both punk and cena to help ADR. Though there are a few other ways it can go to leave me satisfied enough.just don't put cena over and I can live with it.

That dude is a great writer. The truth stuff about little jimmy was esp interesting.

I think I just realised from this thread and that blog and comments I see on articles I'm pretty sure all wresting fans ultimately hate most of what they watch. That is really odd, but yet we keep watching hoping the next show/ppv/story turn out as good as we hope.
