+1 mirrion.

A revitalized tag team division is the number 1 thing I've been wishing for for a long time

The last tag team I gave a damn about was Rated RKO

I share everyone's wish for a revitalized tag division. Even more than that, I want the IC title and US title to actually mean something big.

I would like feuds built around who is the better wrestler.

That reminds me of what was a pretty great best-of-7 series that Benoit and Booker T embarked on together.

The Booker/Benoit best of 7 series was awesome and something I've always liked to see more of. I thought it was successful so I don't know why they haven't tried it again. If they want to have the same matches over multiple ppvs why not make them part of a best of series.

I could definitely see this working with Ziggler, though idk who I'd want as his opponent on Raw

Also probably want a non-champion doing it, so a champion isn't taking multiple losses.

Strangely enough, I just don't care about tag teams, and never have, even though I readily admit there have been some awesome teams.

I do, however, care about the IC title (and the U.S. title to a slightly lesser degree).

Basically my problem with trying to rebuild the tag division is every time they try it always falls down when they do the standard WWE thing of putting the WWE champ and the no.1 contender together, put them against the tag champs (ie the guys supposedly the best in the company at being a tag team) and despite the other guys hating each other they still win the match and often the tag belts too.

I love the ROH model that you have tag champs who stay unbeaten for a while, then from time to time one of the two goes off and is is number one contender to the ROH title for a PPV. It instantly elevates the tag belts to a level near equal to the top singles belt.

But then there is a lot the WWE could learn from ROH. Or ROH learn from WWE i guess. Any word on when their new TV show starts?

I still remember how jacked I was when there was a tag title match on free TV between Demolition and the Brainbusters. A few years later there was one between Money Inc. and the Natural Disasters. These were such a big deal.

The Hart Foundation, however, remains my favorite team ever. Even when, later in life, when I started caring how good of a worker someone was, I couldn't shed my love for the Anvil.

I was watching Hart Foundation matches on DVD a few months ago, and was very surprised at how much Anvil in a lot of ways carried them. He was much better than I remembered.

The tag team thing worked well for him, because he was the guy who could get the hot tag and do a handful of power moves. Anvil was very limited by himself, but the combination worked brilliantly.

I'm convinced CM Punk reads this thread, so why don't we all pool up some money to give to his favorite charity or something like NVG did for Barry Greenstein to get CM Punk to give a shoutout to 2p2/this thread/that pic of Hogan swimming backwards on RAW

Weirdly, i do have a suspicion someone in WWE creative reads this thread. There has been a few weird coincidences, stuff like the discussion about how saying the winners purse was so awesome then the next week Booker kept calling it and i think Cole did on Raw too. Probably just random chance, but you never know, 2+2 is a big forum and poker was popular enough that chances are someone somewhere in the WWE team played it.

This is easily the best pro wrestling forum around. The Rajah forums are a complete joke, just a bunch of Euro's bitching at each other and starting weak flame wars, **** is unreadable

100 bucks if Punk swims at SS or on Raw the next night.

I'll just pull it out of my WM prediction victory. /brag

It's entirely possible. I think they busted out an abdominal stretch the week after it was mentioned here too.

Side note: can someone translate Ricardos entrance for Alberto on Raw? I swear I heard Pantalones somewhere in there
