Chono's STF looked legit painful. Cena's? Just turrrrrrible.

The AA looks like it would hurt. ADR's rolling armbreaker looks painful. Swagger's ankle lock looks painful. GTS looks painful when Punk gets a good looking connection.

Anyways, most finishers these days suck. LET ME BE NOSTALGIC DAMNIT.

Good finishers:

1. Happen fairly quickly (good bye Killswitch, Skull-Crushing Finale, 619).
2. Look like they'd actually hurt (good bye again, 619)
3. Can be done from multiple positions or setups (good bye again, 619; hello RKO from anywhere and LeBell Lock on a ladder).

Random finishers/moves from WWE on this scale (approximate numbers):

RKO = 3/3
LeBell Lock: 2.5/3
Big Show Punch: 2/3 (discounting the middle one, not that he wouldn't get hurt, but he punches people a bunch without that effect, so **** it)
Kill Switch: 1/3
GTS: 1/3
Orton's stupid rope DDT: 1/3
R-Truth's SBGF: 0.5/3
Trouble in Paradise: 0.5/3
619: -10/3

How has no one stolen the F5 finisher? Always loved that one, Rock sold the **** out of that move at Summerslam 02'

Truth needs to use the suplex stunner (ala Mikey Whipwreck IIRC) as his finisher.

Umaga's front launch into monster samoan drop was pretty awesome

Other random great finishers:

Even Flow DDT (sweet looking DDT plus awesome name)
Jackknife Powerbomb
Dudley Death Drop
Spear + Jackhammer

I was watching Stro on JustinTV over the weekend and forgot how badass the Jackhammer was.

Goldberg looked like he murdered bitches with the force he used on that thing.

I like the SCF. Its setup is fast enough, no worse than the Labelle Lock or the Sharpshooter.

The elevated DDT isnt a finisher.

I think the worst ones that need really precise setups. 619 is obv the nut low, but i think a lot of flying moves like the SSP can be goofy at times, though they are offset by being impressive skill-wise.

My fave three right now are the RKO, the cross rhodes and whatever Beth Phoenix's move is called. Slamming people face first to the mat ftw. The diamond cutter is prob my fave all time, dude pulled that **** out of nowhere.

Annoying Raw saved only by Truth/HHH segment and the Miz promo

Cant say I was too thrilled with the manner Punk came back. I fear the worst now

Massive Chioda 2-counts ftw.

Gunner from TNA uses F5. Mark Henry should steal it imo.

Going to be sad that John Cena breaks Ric Flair's 16-time World champion record unless he legit retires before 34

Hopefully JR coming back means the end of The King. I doubt they'll keep a 3man booth for long. Lawler's been stale for awhile now, have him get attacked somehow, and leave on a stretcher, and then we get JR/Cole which I have high hopes for as a face/heel announcing duo.

Not that it needs to be said, but Cole commentating needs to go. He distracts from the action. If you are going to be a heel commentator 1.) you have to be a color guy not play by play and 2.) have to pick your spots and not dominate the conversation

From my order invoice :

Quote:
CM Punk Best in the World Authentic T-Shirt - XL

- Pre-Order: This item will be available on 08/05/2011.
FWIW there's no "Chicago 7/17/11" on the back so the ones from the MITB show are legit collectors items.

Yeah you would think a company the size of WWE could get the ****ing shirts printed and shipped quicker than that. Pretty ******ed imo.

Anyone else get super annoyed by Dave Meltzer? He clearly has aspergers syndrome or something, he rambles and rambles, "y'know,...y'know,...y'know." He has ZERO social tact, interrupts Bryan and anyone else all the time for his tangents, doesn't really reveal any insider info until after it happens, at which point it's just hindsight speculation seemingly disguised as insider info. They summarize RAW every monday but rarely get into the meat n potatoes of the issues. Some of Dave's articles on Yahoo about MMA are laughably written, and always end on a tacky recursive one-liner. I know Meltzer is very prolific (produces a ton of material), but that seems to be his only strength. Even if you can decipher all his verbal faux-pas' and extract some insight, it happens so rarely and at such great a cost that it's useless.
