Hi guys, I'm looking to get more heads up experience. I'd be willing to play 2/5 or 5/10 no limit texas holdem(the cadillac of poker.) I would also like a commitment of playing for at least 8-40 hrs.
I'm open to pre flop variations. ex: mandatory raise x/call or call/check etc.
If you have any other reasonable ideas to make this happen, I would be willing to consider them.

I hope to see someone on the felt!

I would also be open to starting a 6 max game, starting the game with heads up with 4 other seats open to whomever sits.

Other heads up/short handed ideas welcome.

Biggle, when has that 8-16 been going? How's the game been. I've been busy with work and haven't had time to make it out there, but definitely would like to play that in a couple of weeks if it is running. Is it straight LHE? Kill or no kill? Thanks for the update.

I'm gonna be in St Louis Friday the 26th. How many 1/2 and 2/5 NL tables can I expect?

Also, how soft are the 2/5 NL games?

Its straight LHE no kills. Saturday was my first time playing, but the regs in the game said it had gone the last 3 weekends. I *believe* all Fridays and some Saturdays based on what they were saying. I played from 7pm (when the game opened) to 11pm when I left. The 4/8 with half kill kept running as well which is a good sign.

Good sign for limit holdem at least...harrah's is either 3/6 or 20/40...blah.

Why can't I just love 1/2 NL like everyone else in this town? lol

I'm gonna be in St Louis Friday the 26th. I plan on playing at Harrah's St. Louis in Maryland Heights.

How many 1/2 and 2/5 NL tables can I expect?

MP--

They do not really spread 2-5 at Harrahs at all. No matter how many people want to play the game they will not spread it. instead they spread 1-2 NL with a 5 bring in. There may be 3 or 4 1/2 tables and at most 1 1/2/5 game.

so the highest stakes are 1/2...

yeah there's a good chance a 1-2-5 game will run at harrah's, imo ur much better off going to lumiere, the 1/3 plays alot bigger and theres always a decent chance a 5/10 game will run. Even if not the stacks get alot bigger at 1/3 games obviously..Rivery City spreads only 1/3 for most part and its a much nicer poker room, another option.

No, at harrah's the 1/2/5 game has a minimum open of $5, it's just that the blinds preflop are only $1 and $2. Stupid, imo, but to each his own.

They told me it's cuz the bad beat jackpot is only elgible for 1-2 so this keeps the table elgible for bad beat. Plays like a 2-5 tho, I mean if ppl want to limp it's $5 so game plays decent. I'm not from here tho and that is just what they told me.

I agree and it probably will get moved to regional or poker venues. Remember 1500 max 5/10 NL Saturday @ noon @ Lumiere

i'd be down for some heads up or 6 handed. i dont think we could get any of the casinos to spread hu though. we're probably have to do it in a hotel room or one of our houses though

I know River City will do it, they've done it in the past for $1 rake per pot, provided they have an extra dealer on staff, very likely.

They get pretty busy on the weekends, got quite a few tables going. Dealers & supervisors are very friendly, funny, and know what they're doing. I usually play there on Sunday, sometimes I'll hit it up on Saturday every now and then.

BBJ is ~$210,000. That was a week ago, pretty sure it hasn't hit since then.

They also have $35 tournies at 3, as well as $60 tournies at 6. (different day-to-day, which one is going on, you'd have to call) They also sell out fairly quickly, 40 spots plus alternates.

The weekend floor staff at RC is pretty inattentive. Not as bad as Harrah's.

I find Lumiere to have the most attentive floor staff.
