Thanks for the clarification. According to their Facebook page they'll be posting results soon.

The 4-8 Omaha Hi/Lo ran again at Harrahs today. It was a pretty tight game today though. Has 1-2 blinds with it being 4 to bring in. I hope to see more people come out and play this game. I personally heard something that will keep that game from running anywhere in the city if they keep it up though. For 4 dealers to deal that game and only walk away with 16$ total. 1-$2, 1-$3, 1-$5, and 1-$6 in a Two hour span is what gets games not to run places. Do people expect alot of hands per hour and/or great quality ran games if the dealer works for min. wage? I am a firm believer in 1$ every hand a pull chips in no matter what size pot. I do occasionally toss 2$ to a dealer that cares about speed/quality if I can. Am I wrong on this?

I saw this on bravo today and would have liked to come, but I don't think the table would have appreciated the cold I caught in Vegas. And 1-2 blinds? C'mon, wtf. Make the game 2-4 blinds with a half kill, that should loosen the game up a little.

As far as tipping goes, I'll tip most postflop scoops, or a significant half pot.

As long as a pot goes post flop i always tip atleast a dollar. Beyond that i usually tip a dollar for every hundred in the pot

the people who pushed for the 1/2 blinds for the O8 game are some of the nittiest players in St. Louis. they only want to give action when they have the nuts. As far as the tipping, I've never seen a dealer get hosed as bad as was described. I play with alot of these same guys every Friday at River City and usually see them tipping. It doesn't suprise me to hear everyonewas cheap though. I myself will tip just about everytime unless the pot is really small, say $10 or less.

Does the 4/8 LO8 game at RC usually run with this $1/$2 blind crap? This shrinks the pot tremendously, so players wont want to tip when their split wins them ~nothing. It like when players ask to go down to one blind when it gets short, but theyre okay playing with full rake. Will STL casinos even reduce the rake when it gets short? I've played reduced rake elsewhere occasionally.

The game at RC has the same blind structure as Harrahs. I don't like it but I'm just happy that the game runs so i deal with it. As far as playing with a reduced rake, yes the casino will give you the option of reducing the rake but doing so will make that game ineligible for the bad beat so no one ever agrees to it. gotta play for the bad beat!

RC doesn't have a reduced rake I believe and besides that there is no BBJ so the max rake for RC is $4. I have played with those NITS at RC and they chose the game to be at $1 & $2 blinds. It's unbelievable how such places allow players to get up every other hand, walk around, and kill the game because essentially no one wants to play when these guys are in the game. I say we bump up the game and let the nits gripe about it. 5/10 or higher please!!! 5/10 with a full kill makes for some juicinesssss! Someone tell me if I'm wrong, but it's horrible when 2-3 of these nits get into the game.

The weekend O/8 game at RC used to be very good -- almost worth the trip.
Now it seems they play RC on fridays and harrahs on saturday. Its the same "nit-o-rama" with the stupid 1-2 blinds.

I think RC management really dropped the ball on this topic.

I'll try to help you start a game after Christmas. I would like to play some O/8.

You all know O/8 has been running for years at Ameristar right? $5/10 with a full kill. Starts early each Friday/Saturday morning, like 8 AM early. The game doesn't run as long as it used to, but with more players, that can certainly be fixed. They also have a bad beat jackpot for O/8.

i'd be much more apt to play in a 5/10 0/8 game if it ran at lumiere. it probably would also have a higher chance of getting fish...

8am...no thanks unless a job depends on it. I'm only 31...lol I've played this game a few times in the far past, but every time I've went to Ameristar this year, it never seemed to be running. Does it still consistently run early Friday/Saturday? I may have to check it out on Fri/Sat afternoon if so. Is the BBJ $2 for Omaha too though? That would blow.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out next time I'm out that way. I was under the impression that all games at Ameristar were pretty much dead. That being said Lumiere/RC are substantially closer to me and that's my biggest factor in choosing a room.

Is the O8 game running tomorrow at RC? With the holidays and everything going on around this time, you'd think not, but then again, I'm sure the regs will be there.

I have heard the game has been running at Ameristar and would be willing to play, however, with O8 there is no guarantee. You wait hours to get in the game, and when you finally do, it breaks or is shorthanded. You mix that with blinds that are of half value and you have a weak game built for nits.

I choose RC & Lumiere just because they are closer.

Sounds like the new poker room manager at Lumiere is in the process of getting their Bravo system networked into the Bravo mobile app. Harrah's is already on there. Hopefully RC follows suit.

I saw that on his FB post. I'm pretty satisfied with the way the room is ran currently so I don't really have any suggestions for him. I don't play the tourneys but maybe he can improve the structures for those that do. My only suggestion was to enclose the room. I'll be there in about 10 hours for my weekly fix.

Blinds at Ameristar shouldn't be half value...God, the thought of that structure just makes me pissed.

from what I understand the 4/8 O8 game runs at Harrahs pretty much every day of the week but Friday where it's held at River City. Same group of people travel to play the game at both locations.

General question about local daily tournaments.

I know that most of the local casinos have a $60 daily tournament running. Does anybody know how much of that is tournament fee and how much is going to the prize pool at the different casino's.

I have heard that most casino's charge 20% to 30% for daily tournament fees. is it even possible to make a pofit if the juice is that high. and you can only play 1 or 2 tournaments a day?

Also, what kind of hourly are some of you making at the local 1-2 and 1-3NL cash games. I am making about $10\hour at 1-3NL, but I have only played about 100 hours. What kind of hourlys are expected for average, good, and excellent NL players at this stake?
