Those are the best antics I like to see. That and a slowroll from a senior. Those just crack me up.

What time does the 5/10 NL game at Lumier start on Thursdays? How late does it usually run? Thanks, Mal

Starts anywhere between 12pm-2pm and runs all night, sometimes continuing through Friday.

Just wanted to thank the Lumiere PLO table on Friday night for the drinks.

Sorry I couldn't donate more, but the bachelor party had to move along to other venues. Will have to stop by again the next time I'm in town.

Um, post bachelor party memory has me in the 6 seat--yep.

As I recall the 10 and 7 were taking turns buying rounds.

Either out of just being nice, or they saw a drunk PLO fish in town for one night. Either way, I accept

Heard a rumor that River City will be running PLO tournys on Monday nights starting Oct 3 Supposed to have a higher buy in too Like 100 I'm in for sure

I'd find that real hard to believe. Consider this, they cant get a $100 NL tourney going, how in the hell would they expect enough interest in a PLO tourney.

All tournies are going to $60.
Later (october or november) Only Wednesday & Saturday at 6:00pm, all other days at 3:00pm.
In (oct or nov) the PLO $100 (40 or 50 man) will be at 7:00pm.

I'm not sure how much of that is accurate or officially been opproved but it's what I heard from the floor on Sunday.

This is from their facebook acct.

PLO Tournament buy-in will be $100. $5,000 in chips. Blinds start at $25 and $50. 20 minute levels. 40 players plus alternates.

Glad to see something other than NLH for a change.

Howdy all, been plugging leaks and have seen my winrates go up. Whether or not the two are related or I'm just running good remains to be seen. But I'm actually thinking through hands now instead of playing my cards on autopilot.

Anyway, my question today is how do the 1-2 and 1-3 games here stack up against the rest of the country? A lot of times I see discussions in the small stakes NL forum talking about how bad the players are. About how players will call with anything. Where are these players at in STL? I'm not seeing them in the volume that people suggest should be at these stakes. Is there a shortage of terrible fish in STL? Do people exagerate about the number of fish in other locales? Seems to be a lot of regular players, not that that means they are good or anything.

I know I need to start working on table selection better. I'm getting better at getting up from a bad table, still might play an extra orbit or two. I need to start requesting table changes, but normally I just switch casinos. The guys that are always switching tables irk me for some reason. But that's what I need to do.

i've actually done quite a bit of traveling and playing in other states, and the talent level at the 1/2 and 1/3 games is far superior than in other areas of the country. it is just insane how bad people play in other areas. i spent the summer in florida playing and just crushed the tables down there. the skill level at their 2/5 games was worse than the skill levels at our 1/2. i actually had a lady tell me that she had position on me cause she acted first.lol... i've also played in other places and i'm just amazed at how much better the competition is here. i mean it kinda sucks to play here full time, but atleast you know that if you can win here, you can go almost anywhere else in the country and win

in my opinion the games at lumiere could not be softer. sure there are a few players that i don't like sitting with, but the amount of bad players more than makes up for it. i've only put in similar volume in one other location and the games, on average, were significantly tougher. the only thing that could be better is the amount of games running on sun/mon/wed.

I think it is rare in STL to get a player who has no clue what they are doing like in other areas of the country. However, there are plenty of calling stations here which is more than enough to turn a tidy profit imo

yeah... i'm not saying the games in stl are unbeatable, but people who play in stl come to the casino and plan on winning. in other areas of the country you get plenty of people who are pretty clueless and whenever they go to the poker room they plan on losing
