I think there is a larger concentration of wannabe tough guys in this room then all of Vegas.

I've never seen more berating of bad play, verbal attacks, and implied physical actions in all of my play all over the country.

There is even a regular female out there that might be the worst of them all in my experience, and limited play in the room thus far.

Funny and Sad.

First time it's ran I believe. The 10/25 rarely goes. I believe it only ran on July 1st and hasn't run since (unless it went in the past few days), in fact a lot of the times 5/10 is the biggest game going.
so um...where do ya live? street adress n appartment # pls

Seriously, man. Even if you trust your roommate whom you've known for all of two weeks, he's going to get drunk and tell his friends about how you have thousands in cash stashed in your room. Just keep a few buyins in your wallet at all times and deposit the rest. It takes all of 5 minutes to stop by your bank.

I've read several posts where allegedly "smart" or "good" players feel obligated to defend themselves against any sort of criticism of their play, especially by players they consider donkeys. It usually ends up with the losing player getting upset and leaving the table, taking chips with him that could have ended up in our stacks. Get over it, and realize that a simple reply like, "yeah, I got lucky that time" or "I guess that wasn't a great play" will go a long way in making you more money against that guy. Maybe people get mixed up and think that you should say the same things at a live table that you do in a poker forum. It's surprising how everyone knows the phrase "don't tap the glass" yet so many can't seem to help themselves. Contain that huge ego; YOU know you're great; you don't need to get everyone else to say it too.

Yesterday was a pretty tilty session.

This will be in your best intrest if you tell your roomie you had a huge downswing, and lost most of it, just so the roomie wont brag about his roomie having a ton of cash, cause it happens. And where do you live that 50$ goes a long way lol j.k

The moral of the story is don't post picks of 8k on a public forum.I know this guy plays at HR, carries 8k on him and all I would have to do is wait for the,"i'm the guy playing in the xxx shirt n xxx headphones" post.Luckly I've never or would never robb someone but I have to say that stack looks tasty....just be carefull my man.I've been robbed when I went to UT right off of Kennedy while walking from Soho.

I appreciate the advice. I had a few days where I had 5k on me, but no longer have that much money on my person when I go to the casino. The last time I did I asked for a security escort to my car.

I think a lot of 2p2'ers know what I look like. Not sure why 8k is that big of a deal. Vlad just posted how he was up 5 (?) digits playing 10/25 PLO. Please rob him and not me.

Sorry to hear you got robbed at UT. I'm not really all that worried about being robbed on campus though, UCF seems to be a pretty safe campus. FSU or USF on the other hand...

Appreciate the advice though, I'm thinking of getting a tazer.

You probably realize now how EV- it is to berate a fish like this. You say you couldn't contain yourself but, really, of course you can. Next time, if you can't remember that it is EV-, then at least remember that in Florida, it is incredibly easy to purchase a gun, and a very high number of state residents are gun owners. Quick quiz: what sort of person would leave a table, go to the parking lot to their car, fetch their gun out of the glove box, and return to have the last word? Answer: the sort of person who is a super-steamed bad poker player with the mental capacity of a fish who has just been beat for his last dollar by an arrogant pro who keeps saying smart-aleck things to him. If you don't think this is possible, google the incident from a year or so ago at the THR where a degen did 80% of this but luckily decided to use the gun on himself instead of some unlucky bastards in the poker room.

Seriously, very Life Expectancy negative. Do not berate the fish.

btw, a few nights ago I overheard a supervisor telling a dealer how many hands per hour the bravo had him clocked at with over 400 hands sample size. The supervisor was telling all dealers what they were clocked at, Not really sure what they will do with the ones clocking in at 15 hands per hour.
This dealer was average in speed, imo and was clocked at 25 hands per hour.
Of course this is including fills, counting the well, slow players tanking on bigger games, etc.

Get a safe deposit box, dont be a fool and deposit it unless you plan on actually paying taxes on it... think about what you just said.

That was pretty much my thinking on not putting it in a bank.

But I'm not sure if I can get any safety deposit box in Tampa. I've heard so many different things regarding the boxes in Tampa.

On that private game the other night. They only paid the normal private game fee. Which is $150/hour($75 per dealer) didnt matter how many players were there, even if it was down to 5 or 6 it was still $75 for the half hour.
For full game under normal time rake, it would be $200/hour, $10/half hour/player. So there is one benifit of private game. Also they were mississippi straddling on the button(not allowed elsewhere at hard rock) and making up some of their own rules.

Yeah, if you don't pay your taxes and you don't have a lot of income outside of poker then a box is the best option. But then you can't really make any big purchases that would tip anyone off to how much you're making.

I believe he means get a safety deposit box @ your bank where you can just walk in and put money in the box, Some places are like 20 bucks for either life time use or yearly, its deff +EV to do this because its safe, no 1 can "rob you" only you have access and you don't have to pay taxes. just take out the money you need when you need it and put money back when you want to ez game imo
