Hi guys! The 1-2 and 1-3 still running around the clock?

I'm not sure about weekdays but on weekends it will usually be down to 1-4 tables overnight from like 3am - 11am. 2/5 and 1/3 don't make it through the night 100% of the time but 1/2 does

Sugarhouse poker room was just fine $100,000 by the state because a dealer did not shuffle between 16 tournament hands.

The shuffle was not in shuffle mode and dealer did not realize it during those 16 hands. At hand 16, dealer called floor and issue was fixed.

That was actually just one of several incidents involving improper decks, and only one of the other incidents involves the poker room. They also had issues with Blackjack and Baccarat.

What's interesting to me is that the casino was fined $100,000 and only one supervisor lost their job.

Here's an article from Philly.com which details the infractions. It also links to the PGCB document.

1st time back in about a year....seems ridiculously reg infested. Like every table seems to have wise guy local buddies playing together & swearing they are the next superstar poker phenoms.

The floor paying attention to this cancer?

One of the goofball regs says... "thats why I like playing Parx, the good players play there and dont do this or that yada yada..." LOL go back and play Parx then superstar.

Also, they learning this collusion **** at their local free poker game at jonnys pub or on BigUgly Poker? Cause they suck hard at it and its pretty obvious.

Also Also certain dealers are still trying to give the regs all chips without counting down all-ins if it "looks close". Saw that 3x. Might consider The B.

Could be a one off, but for some reason the vibe of the room now, tells me otherwise. How many "regs" followed this new manager dude from where he came from? Anyone know?

Yes. Its bad. I played there 1-2 weekends per month for almost 2 years. I started out playing mostly 2/5 bc the games were mostly good but it has since deteriorated a good deal. I now play mainly 1/3(even that can get reg infested) and sometimes 1/2 and very rarely 2/5. Huge percentage of regs and some are really douschey and clueless - openly talking about how good they are, about strategy, insulting the rec players, etc. I can no longer go there due to work schedule changing but its good timing. I generally like the floor, the dealers, the environment - but if you are looking for a good 2/5 game this is not the place

Getting a back to back comparison. parx this morning. SH this afternoon. Completely different player pool. Just a bunch of mouth breathers here. Slow to act. Guy just checked behind me in a $40 pot with A2 on a 345 board because he was worried about the clubs. Felt like 2/4 LHE. He thought about it for a full minute before just flipping over his cards.

Can’t complain as another guy paid off my AK to double up with a weaker ace.

Just went back myself the first time in awhile - and won't be back in awhile. Not only reg infested, but ****ty management and higher rake/drop (5+2). Playing 7 handed with two open seats and they call a new game with a list about 7/8 deep (not including call ins). Person from our table racks up and heads to the new game. Call the floor over and he just shrugs, when the table pushes that he do something, he walks over to player and comes back says player requested a table change. I ask why I'm told I have to wait 30 minutes whenever I request to switch to a brand new game, he says nothing. Two more rack up, and table breaks. good job sugar house.

Hi guys - may be making my second trip to sugarhouse Monday night.

1) safe to assume 1-2 and 2-5 NL are always running?

2) cell service - last time I was there it was basically non existent in the poker room... is that still the case? (AT&T)

Thank you in advance

1) 1-2 is always running. 2-5 is not always running, but will be running on a Monday night.

2) Verizon cell service is fine. Wifi (regardless of your provider) is fine. Can't comment on AT&T cell service.

so I was there last night, and 2 players were heads up on a 1/2 table

someone bet and the other player started talking "can you beat xxx" etc and the dealer said no table talk allowed even heads up. He said were heads up the dealer said no talk. the guy didnt believe him, called the floor over and the floor confirmed no table talk heads up. Have you ever heard of that in a live room before?

"In a May 2017 incident, a technician found 16 cards remaining in an automatic shuffler that had been removed from service. When investigators retraced the cards, they found them missing from six decks that were used in 46 rounds of blackjack the previous day, involving 122 individual hands.

Only one of eight blackjack players who were dealt hands from the short decks won. "SugarHouse personnel did not provide the patrons with any kind of reimbursement," according to the consent agreement."

So 7 out of 8 blackjack players lost their money playing from these "malfunctioning" shufflers? Smacks of intentional rigging to me at those odds.

I hope they sue Sugar House for real and punitive damages.

it's a house rule they enacted like 6 months or a year ago. it's kinda stupid but it stops the ridiculous banter back and forth and (in theory) speeds up the games. after Will Kassouf a few years, it seemed like everyone wanted to drag every hand out trying to outlevel everyone by talking.
