Looking forward to a tournament with a decent guarantee. I will be there.

I prefer taking the train in to Philadelphia rather than driving. What's the easiest way to get to SugarHouse from 30th Street Station?

Use uberX ($10-12) or uberPOOL ($7) or take the "El" (aka Market-Frankford Line - $2.25, or $1.80 if you purchase two or more ride tokens).

The SEPTA station for the El is right across the street from 30th St Station. Board the eastbound train towards Frankford and then get off at Spring Garden or Girard. From either station it's 10-15 minutes to walk to Sugarhouse. Girard is a little closer, but if you're coming or going at night I would suggest using Spring Garden because your walk will be along well-lit main roads. The El runs until midnight or so on the weekdays, all night on Fri-Sat.

^^ If that isnt in an OP FAQ, +1 to get it there.

Solid, nicely detailed and easy to understand post for outa-towners or even locals like me who wonder if giving the train a shot is worth the trouble sifting through SEPTAs website.

Good stuff, thank you IHeartEmoKids!!

It looks like the OP has some basics, but not a full FAQ. If one of you want to write one, send it to one of the mods as a PM and we'll edit it into the OP.

Was in city for doctors appointment and decided to pop in and get backed-up real quick. Great looking room, and as stated back thread, really really convenient access from garage.

Is there a lounge area planned for that big space outside the room? That would be great for those on lists. Also, is there a possibility of having 3-4 monitors outside the room with lists and tourney info? Would prevent unnecessary clog of floor traffic at entrance/desk when room starts jumpin'... among a few other benefits imo.

What is up those escalators? Only had time for a 5ish minute peek at room and a quick walkthrough of new casino area.

Could we have those $65 satties w 1-in-5 seats like we had at last 100k GTD please please please Raye??

upstairs is like an event center, theyve had some concert and comedy shows up there so far. I heard that they may put some tables up there for the larger tournaments

Made my first visit to the room since they moved into the new room.

Things that didn't change much: Dealer quality (they've mostly always been adequate and a few good ones, didn't get a single bad dealer at all), play (I know $1/2 is soft no matter where you go but it seems especially soft here).

LIKES: The room looks nice, I appreciate how it feels like it's black but also decently lit.

DISLIKES: Took forever to get one beer and one shot. I think that two servers were serving the whole room which is really not enough people when the room is busy.

A guy next to me wanted a breakfast sandwich at 1:00 and the menu said that was fine but they changed it until after 3. "We're printing up new menus," apologized the food runner.

I would like to see if the room could get some non-NLHE games going. I can play on Saturday evenings from 9:30 PM onwards and Mondays if anyone wants to start up a 5-10 HORSE game with a kill that would be fun...

They are usually good at starting any game you ask. Most dealers there have knowledge of most games. The only thing is it would need enough players to start the table

Why would you tell people to register unless there is no guarantee?

Rather then waste my time and go into exactly why I was calling for more players in that particular event, along with explaining the specific reasons more people needed to be there, I will go with the non-glass-tapping answer and say...

errr, cause there was no guarantee?

It's a satellite, wouldn't it be perfectly rational to want more people?

Not if there is an overlay where only 25 people register and 5 seats are guaranteed. Sugarhouse would essentially be giving away 3 seats for free.

Heard from another player Sugarhouse has adopted TDA rules for cash games.

Can anyone shed light on this?

was watching the FT stream earlier.... the payout structure for the main was absolutely ridiculous

is the payout structure used a sugarhouse thing or PNIA thing?

Driven by Glantz I'm assuming as the structure was his.
