If my friends or I play in the room I want to be assured of fairness for all, not just the select few that the management might deem worthy. Sorry that you and others feel preferential treatment for a few is okay.

I requested a table change and didn't have any issues on 1/2.

how did you do it?

asked a supervisor that was walking around?
go to the podium?
ask a dealer at another table w/empty seats if it was ok to sit there?

Went to a supervisor and he looked at the board and told me the table# to go.

Mike,

Move the tourney to the ballroom the laundry list is growing bigger and bigger and someone just reported a 2 hrs wait. I wanna come up but just don't want to wait for 2 hrs and ended up playing crap which could be costly rolling them dices.

I have an idea, if you're plan to run tourney on Sunday, why not make a 5 minute turbo tourney and that should last 2 hrs instead of 8 hrs?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using 2+2 Forums
Everywhere I play, you get to move WHEN a replacement is available for your seat, which here, so far should be pretty much right away.

Ah.... that's the problem. You have to wait for 15 mins just to get on the list and now another 2 - 3 hrs to be seated. Where do people go for the 2 - 3 hrs wait? Shopping?

It's a problem, but better than waiting for 2-3 hours in line. I'm sure MD Live! would like you to gamble at the tables, but at least you have some choice. I'm not sure that there is anything else that can be done if all 52 tables are full.

I walked around to familiarize myself with the casino, checked out food prices etc.

Dealer said seat changes aren't an issue so that's good.

Mike said that he anticipated the tournament would last 8-9 hours, so I guess around 8 or 9pm tonight

Spent the weekend in the new MDL poker room. Too busy to read this thread but here's my thoughts:

1) They need a cage AND a bathroom on the upper level of the room.
2) PA system needs to be turned down, I missed action called by the dealer several times at the tables.
3) If you don't come before noon you will be waiting for hours to just get IN the room before you even get to register for a game (the line to get in was like a D.C. club after 2-3pm each day this weekend)
4) Comps > no comps (Ctown R.I.P.)
5) Great action so far, lots of ppl just wanted to check it out the first weekend it was open I'm gonna assume.
6) Lots of bad play to take advantage of
7) They need to change the stamp they using to let ppl in/out the room everyday b/c that's easily exploitable
8) $7 for a Hot Dog?? Cmon Son!
9) Solid dealers, glad they have a good mix of new and seasoned dealers from other properties there
10) They are completely understaffed I think because there's just no reason for tables to be empty with that demand. The line was wrapped around the casino at peak

But yeah...had a blast, can't wait to go back Mayweather fight weekend.

Overall, a great room...Mike & staff doing a great job given that it is a new opening...I am sure issues will be resolved in a couple of months...people there are great...trying their best...

Only issue that probably won't change & don't know why they didn't think of it since they thought of a smoking patio...

WHY ISN'T THERE A BATHROOM ON THE 2ND FLOOR???

I'm not an architect but seems like someone had a brain fart on this issue...

Great room even though there is no bathroom upstairs...

Hopefully they will chop it at the end because, according to bravo, right now the average stack is still 50bbs and they are probably less than halfway through if they don't chop. At least it sounds like they have a better system in place for getting your name on a list and receiving a text when your seat is available.

yes, especially since the 1st fl bathroom is right next to the poker room.
how hard is it run pipes into it?

and if space is a consideration, get rid of the 2nd fl smoking balcony, enclose it and make it urinals only

Jason thinks closer to 11. Its a fairly deep tournament. We are down to 65/148, but 40 minute levels have started

Thanks

Just getting my bearings with the floor plan. You enter by the "North Valet," Bus lounge?

And the poker room is by the Noodles and Phillips?

The floorplan does not indicate a poker room, at all. Perhaps it was not built when this map hit the internet.

Poker room is located where it indicates "High Limit Slots" on the map.

It's actually to the left of high limit slots. Next to the restrooms.

In other words between high limit tables and high limit slots. Directly right of restrooms.

It's hard to miss.

The maps inside the casino are up to date (near elevator).. It's funny that the website is out of date, it's normally the opposite.

After all, the casino is closer to Baltimore than DC. Combine 'em and our little neighborhood is #4, significantly bigger than puny Philly:

Which only strengthens your other points.

You will have no trouble finding it when you're on site. As others have said its between high limit tables and high limit slots. Clearly marked and hard to miss

Mike,

Good job on tourney today. Thanks for accommodating two more tables than originally planned ..and the 2k extra in chips. I arrived early and registered with only a short wait behind 15-20 people. It was a great structure .. not too fast/slow. I'll definitely be a regular in the $330.

Are they accepting call ins yet? If so, how long do you get?
