2/5 Pot Limit goes mostly Fri & Sat night & Sunday, weekends only. There is a mixed NL / Pot Limit which is spread very high stakes on some weekends.

(Most rooms claim to "spread what is requested". But, you will never see a 15/30 and almost never see 6/12. 10/20 limit is also pretty much dead.)

Let's face it. 1/2 NL Holdem has killed a lot of limit Holdem....wiped it out!
Thanks for the info, even if it is not what I had hoped.

Are there any regular limit games between 4/8 and 20/40 at any Chicago area casino that you know of?

Also, how do they put a half kill on an odd numbered game like 3/6?

5/10 plo is usually spread wed, fri, sat. 2/5PLO sometimes wed but usaully fri and sat. 10/25 PLO has been off and on depending the players. See it for 3 weekends straight then not for 3 weeks.

Hollywood in Aurora may still get 10/20, but I haven't been there in a couple years. At the Horseshoe, there is about a 50% chance of seeing 10/20 run over a weekend.

How long do the 2/5 games run during the week of late? Thinking about treking down Thursday night this week. Considering Friday is a holiday, I'm hoping that they'd run late since not everyone has work on Friday.

The Shoe usually has 2/5 games running late. You can call the poker room to find out how many 2/5 games are running. Also you can have your name put on a waiting list one hour in advance. (219) 473-6065

Long-time lurker here, wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of Limit Omaha Hi/Lo being spread at the Shoe... I seem to recall seeing PLO once. If not, aside from playing on-line, do you have other ideas on where I can find such a game? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Is the Friday Tourney worth playing? How many players on avg, strength of field, structure, payouts, etc...

I am heading over there on Friday for the day/night and can't decide to play 2/5NL all day or mix in the tourney.

Hey Cardinal,

Yes, I have seen the limit hi/lo spread. It's not that often, but it runs. Just start the interest list and it should fill pretty quickly.

Thanks Meta! Do you recall the limits you've seen? Or are you saying if I start a list for, say, 3/6 Omaha Hi/Lo, that'll get the ball rolling?

First time in a joint? Those are regular playing cards, used in all poker rooms. They don't use pit game cards, in poker rooms.

Is there anyway that we can get an 8/16 LHE game going at the shoe! I want a regular daily 8 game going there!

Anyone interested in trying to get a lower limit mixed game going on Friday/Sat/Sundays or something.

Ive already given my name to Jeremy, and he said he gets "moderate interest" but cant get the game to go.

Something like HORSE....10/20---8/16 or thereabouts. 40-80 is simply too high for a lot of regs really...including myself.

I would suggest picking a day and time than get the word out. I know a few guys who like playing mixed games.

Is that the $100 trny w/ $10 add on? A floorman told me that all $10 goes to the dealers and I thought $20 of the buyin goes to the house. Brutal.

A friend and I are going to play tonight, definitely a round by round PLO/NLH and also trying to start a 10/20 O8 game. Anybody else going tonight??

Considering there's never an O8 game at all, wouldn't 10/20 be a bit ambitious? But if I was available tonight, I'd have happily played 3/6 to 5/10 O8.

I saw an interest list for O8 that was at least 5 or 6 people deep yesterday. Not sure what stakes since I didn't really follow the list, since O8's not my game, but there was definitely at least some interest. Just a few more guys and they probably would have given the game a shot.
