This is true, tho they didn't merge your old poker hours with the Total Reward hours. I didn't ask about whether when you swipe your card at the buffet (or elsewhere) it comes off your old hours or new (since Oct. '09) hours. Nancy showed me my accounts and I still have over $230 in old comp dollars that are still good for food locally.

I'd recommend that before you start the swipe-your-card method you ask about this. Me, I'll be using my old hours up first via the old comp system while accumulating enough hours to hopefully use for a room in LV.

Did 1/2 PLO run? If so, where do they cap the buy-in at the Shoe? I'm interested in trying it at some point, but not for the four-figure stacks necessary at Potowatomi.

1/2 didn't go last Friday, I might try Saturday because the other poster said it was running Saturdays. Max buy-in is $300.

I did get a chance to play 20/40 HORSE, although I had to put my whole roll on the table to do it. I was in the 4 seat all night if anyone remembers me.

1/2 PLO did run saturday, but it started at midnight and broke up at like 2am. 2 regs sat there playing heads up for several hours after that.

Also, you shouldn't feel intimidated if you want to buy in for the minimum when everyone is deep. Playing a shorter stack than everyone else is actually very profitable.

Anyone know what the structure and the house fee for the world series sat. no 5/29?

Has anyone played in the last Saturday of the month $500 at the Shoe?

How many people usually play?

Post whenever that absurd (have to beat quad sixes) bad beat is hit. I've had it with blowing all those bad beat dollars. $300K+ bad beat pool in poker room, $300K+ in one of the pit game jackpots, $300K+ on the Binionaire slot...Well over a million dollars in "jackpots", that joint has been USING as "administrative fees" for months.

been close to it several times.. we had straight flush over straight flush, but the loser was only using one card. i had a straight with straight flush draw vs a set, and the quad would have completed my straight flush. TWICE. two 2/5 players got it all in preflop AA vs KK, flop was AAK. probably many other near misses that i didnt get to see.

we just cant seem to get that last card out.

I hope they ditch the jackpot once it is hit (I believe the entire 300k is paid out). I think it's good for a room if the money is spread out a little more.

Also, I'm curious if they call the floor over when the cards are turned up and there is a jackpot draw. It seems like it would be a good idea.

Whats wrong with it is it's not the high hand jackpot for PLO.

Understandable. Many people don't see much, because they are not looking. "Hab a naz dey suh".

Maybe this is in the wrong thread?

Regardless, it's always interesting that when people talk about the tournament player's winnings nobody says how much they spent throughout their lives to enter tourneys to "win" that much.

I guess it wouldn't be any fun for people to say that Joe Schmo has won $2,000,000 on the tournament circuit, however it cost him $5,000,000 in entry fees over the last 5 years.

Was just reading through this thread and saw that at one point there was a regular 25/50 PLO game. Does that still go? How consistent is the high stakes action these days?

I called the Shoe about the 2-5 PLO game and they told me that the game was not going to run. WTF!! I ended up playing at the Dragon Room and made a nice run for over 1K so it wasn't too bad of a day..

How long was the 2-5 PLO game running for..

Friday/Saturday is when the 2/5 PLO runs. The game is really good though: 2 weeks ago these two guys were making it 40 preflop blind every hand. Last week I spewed off $1500 in a couple hours. There were even 3 decent looking women in the game.

you might want to check out 1/2 PLO as well if 2/5 doesnt get going. the pots still get quite large. on memorial day i won $750 in about 3 hours.
