The way I read the notice it sounded to me like there
Will be no access to the Poker Room from either of those doors.

This. One dealer mentioned that it's because FW doesn't want to have to post security there anymore.

Locked in/out of the poker room with a wall full of glass & glass doors. This will be nice.

Doors will have to open out, if only because of egress access, but locking them from outside would/will be awful.

I did as well. My options were reduced like they were last summer.

I thought the Donastist controversy resolved this issue about 1700 years ago.

I think I'm more surprised he couldn't come up with the bond.. Its usually only 10% of the bail.

That varies state to state. In MA they don't do bonds. You pay 100% of the bail.

Also you may have issues with a bondsman agreeing to post him out. All the way out in Cali. Flight risk, who knows....plenty of reasons not to.

Quick question.....Whats FW rule on showing your hand heads up? Do they allow it, and does the limit matter?

I don't know if there is a rule against it, but if there is, it isn't enforced at 1/2 or 2/5.

You are allowed to expose your cards when HU at Foxwoods.

You are NOT allowed to expose your cards at all at Mohegan. You will receive a warning.

Anyone paying attention?

Their recent "main" event of a series: OVERLAY

Customer service/appreciation/care is declining. The presence of a significant overlay (14%) in a main event ought to be a wake up call. Treat players well and they will come. Listen to player concerns and attendance will be there. But treat players like they don't want to be appreciated and this is the logical outcome.

I've learned overlays can be retracted pretty much at will, according to the fine print. Casinos aren't really worried about integrity in the midst of dying either.

You will never see a casino retract the guarantee of a multi-flight Day One event after it has already began. Having said that, it is a reality that the poker landscape in New England is about to change dramatically with Springfield and Everett opening soon.

I used to play FW featured events frequently. Now maybe once a year, if that. They just stopped being rec-friendly in their scheduling. If you’re going to have a weekend event, day two must be on Sunday. It just isn’t worth the travel to the middle of nowhere in CT to take time off from work. As soon as they moved their day twos to Monday (and Tuesday in many cases) that pretty much spelled the end of FW being a destination for my poker money.

Foxwoods knows exactly what they are doing to the poker player base as they aren't as appreciated as they used to be. This has progressively been the model for awhile. If players don't like it now just don't go. As Rhody points out, their days are numbered.

Apologies in advance as this is a bit off topic, and I'm grunching so perhaps this type of question has come up ITT.

My wife and I are thinking of doing a three night stay, where we do FW for nights one and three, and a more quiet/scenic/romantic place sandwiched in between. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

It would be during the week, not the weekend, and I'd be willing to pay up to or even above $500 for something very nice. The key is I don't want it to be overrun with touristy types or a loud crowd, but also if possible would prefer it not to be geriatric either. And ideally it would be a place where there'd be places to walk, shop, and eat within a couple of miles so we don't have to get back into the car if we don't want to.

Lastly, if it could be no more than 30-40 minutes from FW all the better, although I suppose we could drive a bit more if it was a great place and we were unlikely to hit a lot of traffic.

Sorry for all the picky details, but I figured I might as well lay out as much as possible.

I'm planning a trip to Foxwoods around Monday-Wednesday of next week. What times of day during the week will 20/40 stud be running? In particular, when will there be more than one table of regs? Also do non-NLHE/PLO games ever run at 20/40 or lower, in particular mixed games?
