Depends on phone. I have samsung, and while that have that cable (s), they get worn out and don't work so great. Bring your own cable. You can plug in at a couple locations at walls near outside exits. They have power strips. They've gotten picky re phones at the table. Can't be using them when in hand, even for texting.

A list of 13 people for PLO-8 and they won't call the game. The list has been at 13 since 2:30 this afternoon and they won't call it because it might hurt the PLO (high only) game. That is pathetic, even for Foxwoods.

Not sure if my experience was relevant or comparable, but I was playing 1/2 NL @ the SHR in FL. Floor called a new 2/5 NL game which absolutely gutted the 1/2 game. I know in the past, at Foxwoods, the floor would have asked the PLO (high only) game players if any of them would leave if they called your game. Obviously, I don't know if they did it in your situation. (Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they did not).

$249 at TT? That's crazy. Will be partaking in my first Monday madness. What time do you recommend getting to the poker room?

They do a horrible job of maintaining those interest lists. As you point out, a list of 13 ppl that's 7hrs old is pretty much worthless. I remember them calling a 8-16 HOE game or something similar, at like 11:30pm when the list was 10hrs old. I told the floor woman "what are you doing? That list is full of people who left hours ago" She just was like "oh you never know!" I guaranteed her I would be the only person to show up and I was. She was nice enough to ask me if I wanted to stay on the list, errr, no thx.

That being said, that 1-2 PLO8 game is generally horrible, short stacked nits waiting for AA23ds. I used to enjoy watching them bug the floor to announce open seats, and then stroll over and look at the table like I was going to sit, get them all excited and say 'just kidding, this game sucks'. I hope it dies a slow death. If they ran Big-O, I might change my tune.

I would hope the Mgt. would even try to do some sort of Promo to TRY to get some new blood into those games.

It's nice to see that SOMETIMES they come over and ask "who is going to go to the other game. I don't want to break up this game."

I have to say the 5/10 game has really died. Starts early afternoon and done by 5pm. I remember years ago the game would start at 10am and go throughout the day/night. Yes, alot of the regs have passed ..I know.

I would be in favor of Big-O, however most of these people cant even deal 4 let alone 5 cards.

It's great to say that Foxwoods FINALLY is doing various day's of High Hand Frenzy...

April
Tuesday/Friday/Sunday - $500 every 30 minutes!

Tuesday - 9a - 9p
Friday - 2p - 2a
Sunday - 9a - 9p

PLUS $100 Awarded on the hour Pre & Post Frenzy Times!

Now if they would just get rid of the BBJ and do this 7 days a week!

Wonder what will feed the BBJ that month since during high hand promos the $1 goes to fund the 36K that's given away in 12 hours.
Are they stopping the BBJ over all?

They are giving away $12k during the 12 hours and $1,200 the rest of the day. If the promotion is popular, getting more than that dropped over the 24 hours is very likely. So they could have some discretion to add to the bbj. However the increase of the Monday Madness pool has probably come from surplus of the drops from those Mondays and if the same holds true, you might see the $500 each half hour increase too, and therefore bring in more players. You still would have 4 non-hhj days to fund the bad beat which I guess is some compromise to thttose that show up trying to win a bad bead and those that don't want it.

Either way, it's good to see management have some forward thinking ideas ready in the face of RI NH and down the line MA poker rooms. I hope they have more innovative things coming down the line. Like adding the game of the future into these promotions.

Not to mention the Mohegan Sun.

Guilty as charged!

But we stuck with it, the game morphed into plo, got more popular, new players showed up wanting to play deeper and today the game of choice is 2-5 plo. Goes most days too.

As to your original point, the floor should not only use the length of the list as guidance, but the timing of the growth of the list. Any time 5 or more players have signed in for any specialty game within 30 minutes, call it! The old names can be cleaned off the list and the newer names can come by before that get in another game and then don't want to leave. You can also get players that might come by that were not on the list and didn't even know they were spreading whatever game might be called.

Tons of new dealers lately so if you're playing just keep an eye out for mistakes.

27 new dealers were hired and began two weeks ago. It isn't only mistakes to look out for, be prepared to essentially do everything but deal the cards in more than a small handful of cases. It's more painful than a root canal with a couple of them.

Where do they do the hiring from? I've been trying to get at least an interview and audition for months.

This is good advice. The dealer pushed a pot to the wrong person the last time I was there.

Ditto. I was there Sunday night. New dealer burned and turned before I acted. She had no idea what to do next. Turned out that my opponent would have made his flush. Floor came over and gave her a lesson on procedure. Perhaps he should have given her some lessons before putting her in the box. Scary happenings in the poker room.
