I've ranted about this in the past. They are good at putting up interest lists, but they seem to have no concept of how to get a game actually going. They will have a 8-16 holdem list, a 10-20 OE list a 8-16 HORSE list etc... If any of the floors had a clue they would start a "Mid limit mix game on table 98" let the players decide the games and stakes once they get enough people.

I can't tell you how many times i've put my name on all those lists at 1pm and then hear my name called at 11:30pm, "floor person" i say, "that list has been up for 10 hours why the *#$@ are you calling it now?" Blank stare from floor.....

Happened last Friday.

8/16 HORSE and 10/20 OE being called at 3am when grave shift came in. I started the 8/16 HORSE in morning before tournament, we had 19 on the list and all day they wouldn't call it just to "protect" the 5/10 Omaha that was going.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask a quick question. I was thinking about come down and staying the night of Thursday, July 14th.

I've never played at Foxwoods before so have to play history to get any offers. Was wondering how I could get the best possible rate on a room. So far, I'm being offered a room for $150 through the website.

Is there any way going about getting a more affordable rate? Poker rate? Perhaps even a comp room?

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!

Only thing resembling a poker rate is that sometimes there will be discounted rooms if you play in certain tournaments - EXAMPLE

$150 a night for someone that has no offers, in Summer time is actually not bad price considering they usually lower everyones free room offers in Summer time and prices get jacked up cause of how busy they get for season.

Anyone have any info on structure for the WSOP ME qualifiers in June? Looks like they start at 2pm on June 5th and 12th with 30 min levels but no other info on structure. How long do you think these will go?

$150 a night isn't that bad at all. The place you'd want to stay at (if you're playing poker) is Great Cedar. The closest one to the poker room. If you're on a tight budget, a motel in Groton is best.

Super quick question. I have roughly 300 Foxwoods points, plus 40 more in their points you get for swiping into the casino. I will be there next week then I'm unlikely to come back for at least a year. For the 300 I can get 150 cash, but I was curious if I could use my points to buy subway/Starbucks/panera gift card or something like that. Or is there any cool stores I can burn the money at?

You can use the points for anything on the property....except for gaming chips. Gas is 1.5 pts for every dollar you spend. Same with a gift card.

Many/most of the stores in the on-site Tanger Outlets take the points 1:1, so you could buy normal clothes, housewares, electronics etc. that you need at decent prices. There is a list of stores that take the points on the map they hand out.

Did anybody else get their July hotel offers?

I received mine today...I don't have any comped rooms for Sun-Thurs. Only discounted ones. Anybody else?

It's summer time. Comp'ed rooms are rare for July/August

I have Sun-Th any hotel 2 free all the way till the end of July, plus the two random weekend nights. I've played under 30 hours this year and no other gaming.

I honestly think it goes by zip code and session length. I'm a pauper in a very affluent zip in CT 1.5 hours away and each time I go, I play for 5-10 hours. People who are closer in, have short sessions or use comps when not playing may have issues.

I agree with the above statements. I live 1.5 hours away, ride the bus, and have increased my play average steady throughout the year. No change in my free rooms for the 4 hotels and as a surprise bonus they added TT on Friday. I also play at the beginning of the week which I'd guess is slower than late week. They are not going to comp free rooms if you're not at a certain point average which in the summer gets higher as demand increases.

The best rate I got for early week days in July was at the Two Trees for $99 plus plus plus. Thanks but no thanks.

Any idea how early I need to arrive tomorrow to avoid a long wait? Is 9:30 early enough? This will be my first time partaking in any HH frenzy activities.

FWIW, free room plus a comped $300 tourney buy-in is borderline good enough for me to say yes to Two Trees.

9:30 arrival should be fine.

I just wanted to share with everyone that GOTF, Steve Silk, died last night. He has had stage 4 cancer for a few years and recently battled a bad case of sepsis.
