I didn't get any room offers for Sept, but they increased my dream point coupons from 25 to 50, which is basically one or two free rooms.

My guess would be after this past Sunday they don't keep this up for long. EVERY lounge was slammed, filled to capacity, with long waits to get in. I saw people with regular Dream cards getting in. How many of them were poker players I don't know. The long waits were annoying many of the Platinum/Diamond members. I bet several of them will complain, and they will probably limit poker players to the Gold lounges like they did last month.

I'm a a little torn on this. As a poker player, I want to see my fellow players get comped well. But as a Platinum member, I admit I was one of the annoyed, though I'm not going to complain. Whatever they settle with, they settle with.

I know everyone seems to get their own rates, so maybe it's just me, but prices in Aug/Sept have jumped way up, double or more than what I was seeing the past couple of months. Anybody else seeing this?

nah, it's that time of the month again to discuss the megastack challenge lioneyes, stop with your comp rants!

1-5 stud, I've played both at both places. If you are doin that, head to the sun, much more inviting environment, and the action is basically the same and you dont feel like you are in a dungeon. Also, the chocolate shake is tastey.

I enjoyed the 1/2 game at the sun as well, it felt much looser and not as nitty as the woods, if you havent been there, give it a shot. I think you'll like it.

Do they spread 5/10 stud at MS as well or is it just 1-3, 1-5?

Recieved sept. room offer in mail yesterday. I have no idea whether I am a Gold Card holder or not. From my understanding I played enough Jan-June to qualify for next 6 months. If they were evaluating this on a month to month basis there would be no way I would qualify as my visits have been much more sporadic over the past 3 months.

Diamond and Platinum get priority for lounge seating. They just have to actually DO THAT to avoid ticking off Diamond high rollers.

You'd think they know how to match the lounge comps they award to their capacity to serve them, at least on average. Maybe some fine tuning to the weekday vs weekend mix of lounge choices, or actually shooing some of the more unwashed masses away with a coupon (as on an overbooked airliner) would solve it. Or reducing Platinum to below 3x2 meals per day, limiting multiple daily visits to the smaller lounges, etc. But that's for them to figure out, not those of us who they've chosen to let in. If a non-gold gets in all month, it's probably because he played as much or more than a typical gold the previous month, paid lots of rake and earned it.

Personally I play about 65% to 115% as much as most Platinum poker players do on average, almost all at mid limits, so I'm not going to feel guilty about using my 33% of the amount of lounge visits that they get, at the same lounges. Platinums have earned it also, but they are rewarded disproportionately to me, and are therefore correct to not make waves or complain about non-golds who have only earned a month's access via high play the previous month.

While I see an occasional poker player at the smaller lounges, they don't seem to be a major source of crowding, and like myself often stick to the large and convenient Rainmaker lounge. Basically, if you go to any other lounge, it is wise to cash out your chips, because you aren't likely to be back in an hour.

I haven't been going to Foxwoods lately, just Mohegan, but I am planning on playing in the $340 deep stack on the 18th-19th at foxwoods. Mohegan had basically the exact same tournament and attracted 700 players about 3 weeks ago. You guys think the Foxwoods one will have a similar turnout?

I don't see why it wouldn't, if anything I'd expect Foxwoods to get more players.. I'm just hoping there is a nice overlay for the main event on Thursday like there was at Mohegan.

i didn't see the 1/2 plo game on saturday but i was mostly fixed on SNGs. yesterday there was a 1/2 plo8 interest list that got up to about 5 or 6 people.

it seems there isn't too much low limit omaha going on. 2/5 at peak times and it seems 4/8 runs alot.
