The game was actually good when I got back. Seats 2/3 turned into bluff/way too thin value boxes. The guy that took your seat never folded and I busted his friend that sat down in the 1 seat. I made more than a buyin in the 2 hours after dinner.

Depends on the pillows. These soft, flimsy pillows? 6 would be good. I'm not used to sleeping alone so I build a fort of pillows around me to trick myself into thinking that I am not alone.

Why does the ZZ Top site say 26 for Foxwoods and 27th for NH... Do you have tix for accuracy? I might have to call to confirm this because I am def. planning on going to this. Tix go on sale this week.

As Ed mentioned, next time I have to stay off site I will check out Days Inn in Mystic, I get employee discounts through my work with them also. Def. going to have to check that out.
+1 to Days Inn for cheap off-site stay.

MGM is by far the best room. My only 2 complaints (which are minor) are that there's not much free space (can't even get a rollaway sent up to the 2 queen bed rooms), and the walk can be an inconvenience at times.

I have an iPhone 3GS on AT&T and I can good signal in some parts of the FW poker room, and no signal in others.

Anybody else have good/bad service there with AT&T/T-Mobile, etc?

I've heard two trees is fine. All I need is a mod comfy bed and a quiet room. Def not expecting anything like the suite I got at MGM, which was incredibly dope.

Can't complain about a comped room.

Who all is gonna be playing the $300 mega on Monday?

I have the IPhone 4G(At&t) and have never had a problem. There is one spot on RT 2 where I drop calls but other than that, I'm cool

You always hang out in the $2/$5 corner though right? I have no signal in the $1/$2 areas sometimes

Was just checking out my wife's Dream Card offer's and I noticed, "Suites subject to upgrade fee", anyone have an idea of how much this fee is for MGM and if it worth it for 2 days/nights? Will be there with my wife and kid so I wouldn't mind paying the fee if it's reasonable to experience the MGM suite.

I believe it's $59.

The Producer and Director suites can be booked on your own, so I imagine the upgrade fee is whatever the price difference would be if you had to pay for your deluxe room. But I could be wrong. IMO the MGM suites aren't usually worth it, but having a couch might be nice with the wife/kid there.

Hmm, I might have to call and find out then, when I try and fine a price for just a room when I'm going just the suites come up, no deluxe rooms so I can't find out the difference, but I have a feeling it's going to be upwards in the $200-$300 range, F that lol ... but if hansmolman is right about $59 that would be sick. A suite for 2 nights is about $700 and thats for a Sun and Mon night

The $59 upgrade rate was when I stayed at the pequot. Might be different at MGM.

Yeah, I've seen those signs, too. It's "funny" the first time I stayed there, my experience was okay, not great. They messed up a few things. However, I gave them another shot and it's been great ever since. I've definitely slept on worse beds, but I don't thin they're too uncomfortable. I do, however, like the jacuzzi tubs in the bathrooms with the HDTV.

Also, there's the Ramada off Exit 90. I booked through one of the travel websites and got it for ~$87 (incl.taxes) on a Saturday night. Yeah, both are good deals for something relatively close by.

Speaking of exits, does anyone find exit 92 to be a little tricky at night or is it just me? LMAO ... Is their any faster ways other than exit 92? I am only familiar with 92.

Coming from RI? You could take 93, and jump on Rte 184. It takes you to that same rotary with Rte 2. I don't think it's faster though.

Or, when you get off 92, take a right onto 49 instead of going straight. Then left onto 184, and come to the same rotary.

That's what I started doing recently myself

I'll have to try the Days Inn.

I stayed @ Econo Lodge once. Terrible room. Very uncomfortable bed. After checking in around sunrise, noticed a pimp-looking dude walk out of his room with the lamp and telephone. His woman was bitching him out very loudly. Not what you want to see with pockets full of cash. I thought I was going to get car-jacked right there in the parking lot! Cleaning lady who didn't speak English burst into my room a few hours later. She couldn't understand "come back later." When I woke up later that afternoon, I looked at the lamp and phone. They were pieces of ****. I don't know why anybody would want them. Probably worth about 20 cents on the street.

Probably my 3rd worst hotel experience ever.

Def. going to try it out this weekend, how is the traffic on those roads? I've noticed their isn't too much traffic really no matter whats going on. Though I have NEVER tried to go to FW during the week during a rush hour and don't think I ever would, as I take 95-S. I think the most traffic I ever hit is when I turn into FW and thats it. These days the shortest route/less gas consumption is really going to be necessary, hope FW starts kicking up their gas card offers. I think the wife has a $100 gas card off for this Friday that I really am itching to get (think I can profit $70).

Is 184 the quicker way to get to FW off exit 90? I'm coming from Branford/Guilford area, and always taken 95 to Ex.92 and then (left) Rt2 to FW. I've honestly really never questioned if it was the "best" route, it's just the way I was shown before. Do you think 395 is quickest, or if staying off Exit 90, to take 184 up instead of jumping back on 95?

It seems like a kind of silly statement considering how much I go up there, but just curious as to how other people get there. Not that I mind paying $4.2X/gallon for gas to explore alternate routes

Just curious.

Quickest way from the exit 90 motel area is to take 27 up to Lantern Hill Rd. Lantern Hill runs all the way up to Two Trees.

If your coming from Branford or Guilford you should be taking 395

I think 395 is faster. I think the only reason the FW website has you taking 95 the whole way is so you don't drive past Mohegan and get tempted.
