Anyone heading up for the $200 Bounty today? How many runners do you think they'll get? I'll be there, tall blond guy, Taylor Guitars t-shirt.

I'm new to 2+2!

I was just wondering about Foxwood's comps. I play occasionaly there, I would say 1-4 times a month 4-12 hrs per visit, usually 1/2 or 2/5. I just got the 2 free rooms per week offer for the first time this month and was wondering if I am likely to get it every month now or if I was just randomly selected for this month.
This month is tough so i'll only be able to take advantage of the offer 2 or 3 times, but next month I would be able to go every week if it's still offered.
So to the other people who have been offered free rooms, does it come just randomly or should I get used too it?

Another thing I was wondering and was just way too lazy to go through this entire thread to see if it's been discussed...is there any progress on switching the dealers to keeping there tips instead of the pool program they have. Foxwoods has a number of awful and miserable dealers who would either be weeded out or would earn what they deserve if the tips were earned. There's about 4 or 5 regular dealers that I know for sure I would never tip and many other players agree.

I asked this a couple days ago to long time dealer friend and he said they still have to vote on it

I'm not sure, for this month I got the offer about a week before it started so by that logic it should not be there yet. I do have my points offers up though, so I may not have rooms next month. Maybe I should just not show up again until they give it back!

How does this work, is it union forced or do they just get to decide and vote and the casino will go along with it? Also, would this vote pass? I don't remember any dealer ever saying he was happy about sharing his tips.

The problem is that it's a 2 step process. Currently they also share tips with some of the table games.

Step 1 - Vote to separate themselves from the tables. Poker tips would remain pooled, but would become isolated from the rest of the casino. This brings their hourly DOWN.

Step 2 - Vote to keep their own tips instead of pooling them.

The major fear factor for them is if Vote 1 passes but Vote 2 fails, they're ****ed. Depending on the rules and such, there might need to be significant time passed by between the 2 votes, and I'm sure many couldn't afford that.

If you keep playing, you should keep getting the free hotel offers.

I play roughly 4 times a month as well, for 4-12 hours just like you. I got free sun-thurs room offers last year for a month, I think September... I haven't gotten them since and have been going down the same amount, I have no idea how their comp system works or if it's random but I didn't change my playing schedule and didn't get any more offers.

I did get a discounted "poker room rate" e-mail offering 69$ a night @ mgm, I def plan on taking advantage of that ASAP, wish I could get my free rooms back tho =(

Played 2/5 last night - unreal juicy games all over - but ran like death. Who flops 3 sets and loses each one? Le sigh.

442 for the 340 last December. (1,093 in the 340 Aug 09) Maybe people spending buyins on xmas instead?

last years Dec main only got 141. Perhaps similar turnout Saturday? I was hoping for 200 but kinda doubt it especially with AC action.

Thats too bad. Hopefully I get lucky, I play about 18-24 hours whenever I stay a night so hopefully they keep it up for me.

I just checked out of my room and will be heading over right now. I suggest anyone sitting around at home should come down today, lots of action going on at the cash tables with the tourny going on!

Hey everyone- Good thread.

I am somewhat of a regular at the Foxwoods 2/5 NL tables. I'm quite sure those of you who spend any real time there would recognize me, and I would know your face. I'm the big white guy usually sitting in the 1 or 10 seat wearing a Patriots or Red Sox jersey with Sony headphones around my big fat bald head yukking it up with everyone and giving away blue bracelets to the dealers when I win pots. I posted a big hand I got into at 5/10 last year in BBV and got flamed pretty bad; here it is in all it's hilarity-

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/54.../#post14754019

One I wanted to add, not sure if they are already posted here but too lazy to go through 300+ pages of the thread.

1. The 1/2 NL game at foxwoods is absolutely unbearable. Pretty much everytime I play it, I get crushed because noone has any real money on the table, and nits only want to put money in with "real" hands. I will take down $17 pot after $17 pot, then get caught up in a $150 pot against someone only playing Aces or a monster draw.........Playing poker at this game is impossible. You are better off going upstairs and putting your money on black.

See you guys at the 2/5 tables. Mention you read my post on 2p2 and I'll give you a free bracelet!

I knew exactly where I was and had the advantage of knowing if I hit my set he was doubling my monster stack up; there was SERIOUS stack equity involved and I was willing to take a $500 shot to win at least another $4500. I got what I wished for and lost. That's poker.
