It's just good action, where the regfish are loose-passive and the whales are real spewy. Although even the 'bad' players will still put you to the test, applying lots of pressure with big bluffs, they take really terrible lines most times so it's easy to snap them off if you're halfway decent. Also 5/10 at the woods has more donking than any NLHE game I've played, which is super exploitable if you know what to do.

Plus there's often multible tables going so you can exercise a little table selection unlike other casinos where there might only be one 5/10 running. Also, a lot of the decent regs are often pretty cool people rather than soulless nitty grinders.

Solfege, it sounds like you know the CT holdem scene well--how does the 5/10 at FW compare to Mohegan, IYO? I find 5/10 at the Sun to be just as juicy, although I will admit to only playing in it twice. People would throw chips into the pot with a shred of equity and bluff boards that really make no sense.

That must have been on the weekend, or even during tournament time? Usually when I play Mohegan it is a bunch of nitty passive players. I would also have to agree w/ the previous posts too, Foxwoods has some of the best 5-10NL games. It also has some of the juciest 20-40 Holdem games.

The only time 5-10NL seems to run at MS is on the weekends, period. And the participants are the action crowd.

Even decent most regs in the game will not put you to the test. Also, I don't when it was the last time you went but in general there is only 2 games going. One must move and one main game.

Awesome 5-10 game though.

Mohegan 5/10 from my experience has 2 good regs, a couple guys that know what they are doing but are timid and nut peddlers, and a bunch of aggro donks that get it in 20% or worse on the flop. If you are a competent player who can adjust well to a different line-up definetely go to Mohegan.

I was pretty much agreeing with everything besides the putting you to the test remark. But I agree whenever I'm there there's usually two tables. A must move and main.

I'll be at the 5/10 this weekend pretty much all weekend. On small break now after losing a 550bb pot to the biggest nit at the table. Still around even for the day so far tho

FL Hold'em is always spreading upto 20/40, and if you know the game well play the 20/40 game over the 10/20 b/c there is alot more action. 10/20 is where are the rocks hide out. Expect to dig into your pocket when you play 40 Holdem though because the game can get very wild.

Omaha 8 is always spreading 4-8 usually 5 days a week. The 75/150 game is usually HOE. They have been also spreading 150/300 latley. Both great games. If you know Omaha 8 well and you have the BR play that game over anything else because most of those plays specialize in stud.

The great thing w/ Foxwoods is that the room is big and there is always open tables and free dealers. If you really want to spread a different game they will let you if you can find a few players. All you need is like 3 ppl to start the game and you can usually fill the game.
Interesting. I turn 21 on August 1st and look forward to going to the casino again and I want to play the mixed games.

I got a few questions.
1. How would you compare the 75-150 mixed game these days to the same levels onlines? How about the 150-300?
2. Is it worth 1 BB/hr for a good player or does it move too slow?
3. What's the rake like?
4. What bankroll do you need for this game? $50,000?

It was 1/2 plo8 unfortunately but it was super aggressive which is very unusual. I got 3/4 of a 1500 dollar pot early and there 3 or 4 pots like that within first 2 hours. Game got pretty good and deep at one point for a 1/2. I did start a 2/5 high only list, not sure if that's still up but I'm playing the 5/10 nlhe at the moment....leaving soon tho, been missing every draw last few hours, got a headache and card dead. Bad combo lol

1) much more passive. They are still good players but if you can beat the 30-60 Omaha8 game on FTP you can beat these.
2)It is def worth it
3)The rake is time and usually it is a timed pot
4)W/e u think is sufficient w/ ur std and what ur personal preference is. 50k should be fine

1/2 NL and this guy puts his diabetes test kit (syringes, glucose monitor, etc) on the felt (up near the betting line). The dealer immediately says, "You can't do that here, go to the men's room...". So the guy pushes his chair away from the table, you hear the glucose monitor beeping and ****. Two seconds later, he pulls his chair back up to the table, and I see him vampire sucking the blood off his index finger.

Am I going to get hepatitis now?

Lol, stay classy foxwoods.

He should have to go wash his hands and cover the open wound before touching the playing cards again, IMO.
