Was anyone else at my table last night where the red haired woman may or may not have pulled back half her chips when the opponent rolled a bigger full house?

Floor ruled she was all in and it shipped. I came back just as is was being decided, didn't see the action.

Does a PLO game get setup friday or saturday, on most weekends? Haven't played during the weekends in months and whenever i get on an interest list for 1-2 or 2-5 plo during the week it never happens. TY for the info~

I see they have started the third BBJ at Foxwoods, this one for Stud games. Does anyone know which level games are included in this BBJ?

1/2 half PLO half PL08 has been known to run during the weekend/busier times.

An interesting discussion broke out at MS last night at a 1/2 table about how hard Foxwoods 2/5 NL is...at first, I thought it was a level, but the guys were dead serious (and really tight and ABC, FWIW)

I always thought that 2/5 at Foxwoods was soft, but I have not been there in 6 months--have things changed? MS is all regs at 2/5, but all have their quirks (a lot of 10/6 nits, a lot of maniacs)

I think its slowly gotten harder for the weekdays (in that you can still win if you play purely ABC, but not that much), but even so if you're a thinking player with any semblance of post-flop play and knowledge of board textures, then you could still completely crush it.

As for the weekends, its still really hard to not make money at Foxwoods 2/5.

ehhyoo i'm playing tuesday, 340 mega....do you guys who come down for one event usually just see what happens and if you make it to the second day try to get a room for the night? you think i'd have a hard time getting one at bellissimo if i'm lucky enough to survive day one?!

Have you played at Mohegan, by any chance? I find that the weekdays and weekends are both populated by regs, but that it is still very easy to beat playing 9/6 nit-style (some of the more successful regs play like this). Is it easier than Foxwoods, though? In my opinion, when I played at both, I found Mohegan to be quite a bit tougher on both weekdays and weekends.

I haven't, but I hear there's actually more action due to the larger buy-in. As to whether its easier or not as a result depends more on the player composition.

As for Foxwoods 2/5, it really is way easy, but not if you're playing a 9/6 nit-style, which kind of blows my mind that people are successful playing like that at a live game.

You are preaching to the choir, and they tend to make it off one big hand in which someone pretty much steams off a donation to them with JJ on a Txx board thinking that the villain "can't possibly have kings/aces!" Someone actually mucked KK face-up on a Q966 board RR from a tight reg the other night, and it was a good laydown (villain tables 99).

But this is good information, thank you! Is there a difference at Foxwoods between day and night at the 2/5s? Mohegan has very little, I find...you will find the occasional maniac stray in at any hour.

Jersey there's a few players that are regs there and they play that style. Everyone knows them and they instantly get no action. Literally none..
Foxwoods 2/5 is much better than mohegan. Play there Monday thru the week mostly evening into late night and you'll love it. This winter I hit it semi hard and made about 16k over 200 hours or so, maybe alittle more on the hours. There's def some good players...but there's a lot of the...I'm too good for 1/2 so I'm here players.

Who asked you?!?!

I am j/k, of course, you always have great info. about the CT poker scene, and I appreciate the breakdown, riza. I have a little under half that winrate at Mohegan 1/2 (~$33 per hr.), so I think Foxwoods might be the way to go...although I am a sucker for comps, and Foxwoods I hear is not very giving to its poker community in terms of rating status.

But hey, if the grass really is that much greener, I will drive an extra 10 minutes and look to squeeze a video poker machine for comp rating status.

One thing there good with is the two free rooms every week Mon thru Thursday. Other than that I agree with you on that. Plus if there aren't any of those rooms available u usually can get a suite upgrade for 50 bucks. But you probably live close so its irrelevant.

And thanks...whether people agree with me or not ill throw my. 02 cents in there for you Haha. Maybe see u down there one day. I think I'm going to start concentrating on mtts maybe give online mtts a go too..we'll. See

I live 1 hour and 15 mins away from MS (1 hr 25 from FW), so hotel rooms are a HUGE plus (going for Sagamore status at the Sun, which gets me 4 rooms a week in and of itself). I would definitely like playing with you, it would be a welcome change of pace, and chance are I will be heading down more often to both MS and FW just to experiment with 2/5 some more.

It's shorthand for seeing only 9 percent of hands preflop and raising 6 percent. Sarcastically exaggerated. But only a little.

Yes, my apologies, I tend to explain far too many archetypes in online shorthand >_<. People I am referring to I have never seen show down anything worse than 88, AQ, or AJs, which is 5.9% of hands. The 9-10% is derived for the times I imagine they limp with lower pairs and overbet their sets >_<.
