Played Windsor Caesar's last night for the first time. Got there and there were two full tables of 1/3 cash. Played video poker while I waited, hit straight flush and five of a kind on deuces wild and win $15CD overall. Get called to a really nitty table. Never got past the flop in the first five hands and won them all with cbets. Was up $70 when old man in seat ten gets this look of determination to finally beat me. He calls my cbet this time on a queen high, two to a flush flop. Turn completes the flush, he shoves like $100 into the $60 pot. I have air so I fold. He seems satisfied.

Ended up value owning myself a couple of times against weak tight players. Later on a young guy who liked to bluff joined the table. Won a big hand against bluffer with AA, where he led into me on flop and turn after I had raised pre-flop. He folded to my raise ott with like 1/3 psb left (?).

At about 8 pm a $65 tournament started with 15 runners. I left for the buffet at about 9 only to find out it was closed for the night already. Guess it's not Vegas.

Not sure I would play there again during the week. Pretty bad table for most of the night. Even the regs were complaining. Everyone seem to know each other and a few even went to dinner together. But they were Canadian, so they didn't even seem to contemplate colluding.

Thanks, Coach. Yeah, I asked one of the drink servers about it, and she said not true, they are not maple leaf shape. Then she told me that she would polish my canuck for $100 Canadian. I said, no thanks, but in my head I was like, what's a canuck?

I think that was my first Polish Canadian joke ever.

Half of my fun in life is derived from inside jokes where I'm the only insider.

Edit: next time say "vulva" instead of "Vulcan". Evidently the autocorrect on my phone is a prude Star Trak fan.

I love Star Trak. It tones my legs really good.

Regarding the picture. Don't you say that to people at the table all the time? "Nobody likes you!" Somewhat ironic

What did you think of the rest of the casino (non-smoking), crossing the border, etc?

I used to go a couple of times a year either with friends too young to gamble here, or for long weekends of debauchery. (Drinking, Gambling, Hockey, and Strippers ... good times.)

The games have been on the nitty side for quite a while now, lots of regs. (Still awful thought.) It's because of how much of a pain it is dealing with the border and the money exchange, and the near 1:1 ratio. People felt like they were getting more bang for their buck when it was 1:0.7.

Now I only go when my player's card points are going to expire and I haven't made it to Vegas in the past 6 months. Although I'm thinking that taking the drive out to Horseshoe Hammond might be a better idea.

I like the casino and the border crossing hasn't been an issue through the tunnel. It it's somewhat expensive ($9 round trip), but not overwhelmingly so. No smoke is awesome to me. Action wasn't that great though Thursday night.

Border crossing is so hit or miss for me. Depending on the time of day and direction there can be either zero traffic, or a 25 min wait. Then the 1 time out of 4 that they ask you a whole bunch of stupid questions, or the 1 out of 20 that they pull you out of line to check your trunk and whatnot is just a pain.

what I don't get is.. why is it a hundred dollars more to bang them in the rooms with the closed door? I'm already banging them, and they SAY they're not secretly videotaping it.. I don't see what you get for the extra hundred, I mean, do you get to rough the girls up or something? is it in case the guy wants to cry a little bit afterward? I may never understand.

Quick GTC TR: played limit 3/6 while waiting for the 1/2 deep stack. I get A9s in MP. Four limpers, I call. Flop is 9 8 3 rainbow. Bet and a call ahead of me, I raise figuring I'm ahead of all nines and draws. The bettor and caller both call. Turn is a ten bringing a heart draw. Everyone checks to me, I figure I'm ahead of everything still except 67 and 9T. I bet, two calls. River is 6h. Everyone checks. First guy in BB turns over 85o. Caller in the middle flips over QQ and wins. Wow. I figure this is a good table. I proceed to lose $38 over the next fifteen minutes, and I get called to the NLHE game.

I add a hundo to my $62 stack and I sit down as this guy is flipping over a bluff with 23o on a flush/straight board on the river. He has bottom pair worst kicker. But his bluff wins. I am utg+1, folds to me and I pick up AKo, first hand. I raise to $7 not really knowing how the table is playing. Five callers including BB who just bluffed with 23o and covers everyone at the table. Flop is A45cc. Checks to me, I bet $35. Everyone folds back to BB who says with authority, "100." In my head I'm like, whatever, bro. I stack my chips and put them in the middle. He thinks for a while, gets a count, and calls. He flips over J5cc I flip my AK. Turn is a 5, and river is a club. The dealer pushes the two fives forward and the winner says, "I have a flush."
"Nice hand," I say, and I leave after being there 20 minutes lol. This game is so brutal sometimes.

Touche. Just having one of those months and wasn't going to play long anyway. Should have gone to the ATM before even sitting down, but was too lazy.

Found out why The D was charging so much damn money for rooms for the weekend I'm going to Vegas ($900 for a saturday). Turns out Kid Rock is doing a free show at The D on Saturday. Uncle Cracker is playing a free show Thur and Stone Temple Pilots are doing a free show Friday. Nice minor little score for the trip.

Don't let the bad play fool you. No one is a winner in 3-6 when $100 in juice gets taken away from the table every hour.
