If the guy that is playing 2/5 on table 8 @ MCC right now sees this...stop teaching the fish.

6 - 1/2
3 - 2/5

Cabrera got so lucky on that fly ball. Benoit is going to be a problem down the stretch. But there is no way we go 0-3 in Oakland. Tigers!

This. I play in the 2/5 at MCC a few times a week lately and I have to say nothing makes me want to kill a puppy more than the handful of 20 somethings playing this game that have to digest and analyze EVERY SINGLE HAND after they play it for the entire table. Only 2 outcomes come from doing this: either the recreational players improve or they are intimidated and leave. For the love of all the puppies PLEASE STOP doing this. You don't have to justify your game to strangers in a casino. Have enough self-esteem to just say "nice hand" when you lose a pot and stop trying to announce to everyone that you are good at poker.

Also think it's terrible table etiquette to tell the entire table every single read or observation you make on another player. It is disrespectful to that individual to be singled out in front of the table.

Anyone playing the $300 Columbus Day tournament in Hollywood Toledo tomorrow? I was thinking about it if I actually have a good night of sleep for a change.

online, that guy would be throwing out ethnic slurs and digging up ptr and sharkscope stats to fling.

it's fun to see a guy give a monologue about how much he's noticing, then lose. I feel like all the fish feel better about not wasting their time finding out new and more complicated ways to blow stacks.

I'm not even gonna dignify this with a response about how I roll with a 1-buyin stop loss with a half-buyin top up and that on this particular night I did have to top up early.

Were there any other deep stacks at the table? Did the table generally have more or less than $5000 (not counting your super-human stack)?

there were a lotta people buying in full at the mustmove and main game all the way till the last couple hours. none above 300bbs, and I didn't remember seeing anybody leave with more than 250. I'd guess the over on 5k till around 4am.

I was playin late night this weekend and took the seat in the big game solely on my read that this guy with a big stack was a fish (almost everybody else was known to be better than the 2/5 dudes). but I had a real good feeling about this guy.. around middle-aged, maybe slightly younger, white dude with a mustache, goofy sunglasses, and a woodland camo baseball cap. I think I'd usually figure it a bad switch, but that last bit put my fishometer into redline, so I had to at least find out.

****in guy was the best player of the bunch. I don't know if that **** was a ****in Halloween costume or what, but my stereotyping mind was blown.

An asian player cleaned me at Snookers the other day in RxR. Took down a 3k pot at my expense. Some sick action in the morning. Never seen sicker to be honest. Thats what I get for bluffing 1 time in Omaha.

The difficulty with this conversation is that it's very different from most of the ones I've had of late. Which, as I explained, have mostly been with trees.
