Heard Trip kings closed last week. Can anyone confirm?

So let's see, what it's still open besides the casinos downtown?

East Side: Four Aces, The River, Sunnybrook, Five Star.
West Side: Big Beaver Tavern, Northville Downs, Doc's, Heidelberg.
South Side: Queen of Hearts, Shark Club
North Side: Poker Palace, Legends, Maverick's

Not sure where Momo's or Lucky's are located.

The local player that called himself 'Big' shot himself last night. Since it appears that he was a complete scumbag, I don't think I'm out of line saying that I'm glad this waste of sperm and eggs is no longer alive. I had a very negative experience with him that was gambling related that some of you may know about. Hopefully the girls that were violated by this piece of $hit can straighten their lives out.

Do you mind giving us the highlights of your story, flytrap? This is the first I've heard of it.

The part of that where I mention that neither player likely knew about the incorrect deck is probably not true from what I know now. Apparently in 'tonk', the game he wanted to play, knowing missing cards is a big advantage. I've come to the conclusion that he knew the deck was bad and was freerolling me.

Wow, pretty low life to scam somebody like that. I take it you didn't get paid.

"White, who spent three years in prison on prostitution charges, was dubbed a “gorilla pimp” by authorities because of his extremely violent behavior towards his victims. Though one of them was brave enough to come forward to Southfield police and report White. The victim told cops that White would let her visit family every few weeks, but left her with a very strong message: If you do not come back, I will kill you and your family."

According to their UMich page, yes, they are closed. Well I guess it's good I moved out of that area now, there aren't any rooms left over there.

Wow, we could almost start a who's next board. I know nothing about laying odds, but it would be an interesting exercise.

I mean anything can happen: like a fire. But I would guess that Four Aces is probably the last to go, maybe closely followed by Big Beaver and Northville Downs?

By the way, did you guys see Four Aces is going to try $100 Saturday tournament 5/18? Competing with HPT, but I'm glad they finally took the leap to the bigger buy-ins.

Four Aces has done a really good job in trying to improve their room imo. I give Guy a lot of credit for wanting to make his room better.

George at BBT follows the rules to the T and is great to his players, because of that he has enough regulars that I don't see them shutting down any time soon. Only way BBT is going away is if they decide to up his rent a redic amount or the state changes the rules in a way that forces him to shutdown.

Oh yeah, forgot about NVD. So I guess there is still one room near the old stomping grounds. Not a big fan of the room but I did like that 6-max tourney on Mondays. I hope they stick around and especially hope BBT is around for a while since that is now the closest room to me. Still kinda bummed that Snookers closed a month after I moved within range of playing there. I think I got 3 or 4 tourneys in before they shut down.

Whoa, I had no idea. It was a pretty nice room but the traffic was terrible. It looks like NVD is the last standing room in that area.

They have been bad since Toledo opened so I guess it was only a matter of time but before that that was a very juicy charity room. I'd go as far as saying it probably the weakest players of any charity room I've played in.

With Dollar King closing that makes the next closest charity room from the Toledo border probably QoH in Woodhaven which is quite a ways into the state.

I don't live near a place like Cabela's but that seems like an untapped area to put a charity poker room if someone could open or transfer a license to there.

I don't think they run any tourneys, but I may be mistaken.
