I beg to differ because I know a lot of people tilt in poker and go steam off more money in the pits. They do not seem to do this while waiting for a seat as the casinos seem to think. Also, just the mere presence of people in the poker room attracts people with big money who occasionally drop it on the tables and in other areas. I think that all of these casinos are failing to realize this and are leaving money on the table by skimping on their poker room and treating the players like garbage. I can't wait till Greektown comes under new ownership as I feel there will be more competition for players and greater things will arise. However, maybe if I can sell them on some turnout numbers something is possible. I am not sure how much of an influence any small individual such as I can be though.
How exactly would you do this? Just curious, no sarcasm or anything, but are you like a marketing big wig or something?

Casinos here flat out don't care about poker and thus, IMO, we will never have any type of series. Even though Detroit has a huge player pool.

No nothing like that. I pretty much just feel that there is plenty of demand and things could go very well. I pretty much was just going to approach whoever I could to see if I could get to the decision makers to see if I could make this happen. Pretty hilarious though I actually talked to someone tonight and got a similar response. I am also getting the impression that they just don't care. IMO, this is pretty stupid as poker players bring a good amount of money into the casino that would never be there in the first place. Treating them as these casinos do is not smart from a business standpoint I don't care what anyone else says. They just are too stubborn to see it. Read "The Professor, Banker, and the Suicide King." This is pretty much the point Bobby Baldwin made to finally convince Steve Wynn that having a great poker at the Bellagio was a competitive advantage even though it was not directly a gold mine. Indirectly it leads to increased profits in other places as I am sure you can imagine. The problem is that so many people are unwilling to look between the lines. They just look the other way. As a poker player, this kind of makes me sick. JMO

Do you guys think that Pokerstove or Cardrunners EV is more accurate for ranging? Pokerstove puts more emphasis on broadways and Cardrunners EV puts more emphasis on small pocket pairs.

However, I really feel that bigger things will happen for poker in Detroit when Dan Gilbert takes over Greektown. I honestly feel he would take a loss on the poker room in order to provide a great experience for all of his visitors. I could be completely wrong but I am somewhat familiar with the way he does things. The man is a brilliant businessman.

Are you playing recreationally? For a living? Trying to make money on the side? If you're trying to do this seriously 20 bi should be more than enough, you can start with a lot less imo. If you're playing recreationally than whatever.

I guess you could say that I am playing seriously while working other avenues. I am not attempting to make a sole income from poker. 20 bi seems a little light for me. However, you could also say that I could slow down a little. If I did that it would likely not be an issue at all and I would likely be much more comfortable with what you recommend. Thank you for the kind advice. I will surely follow it.

I read that book years ago, but I might re-read it now you brought it up. Dude, idk who you are or who you are talking to, but the player base here is massive.
