chopped 1st and 2nd in Taylor last night. 40 runners. would have taken it all, guy i chopped with got sick of my raising, took a stand w/ A3 pf against me w/ 3 left. I happened to have kings, but he caught an ace...

most interesting hand: 7 left. blinds 2k4k. i've got about 250k. i'm on the button. 1 limper calls, i just call w/ J10off. sb and bb call. flop is A 10 8, two hearts. checks around to me, I bet 15k. sb folds, bb makes it 50k. (he has me covered) this guy is a thoughtful, aggressive player. limper folds. when i had bet, there was a lot of banter/laughing at the table, we were about to go on break, i feel like bb is just putting me on nothing but representing an ace. i mean i would represent an ace there no matter what i have. i know he knows i would bet there all the time, so the question is what does he have? i put him on an 8 or a 10, less likely is two hearts... i thought for a while, shoved all in. he tanked, eventually says he had a ten, but folds. guess i wish he would have called, had to be a ****tier ten than i had....

tonight is pseudo super spectacular deep stack player appreciation night in Taylor btw. 200k in chips!!!!

Hey, guys. Got back from a long vacation yesterday. Actually visited ten different casinos to collect chips and play slots with my wife, but I played no poker (I know, shocking). Visited Biloxi and Tunica for the first time. Meh. Not sure I would go back. Ended up winning at slots for the whole trip ($300+ baby) thanks to a $700 win at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg.

As soon as I got back, I visited Cadas for some cash and the 7 pm tourney. Lost $100 at cash really quick. Either I was really rusty at my reads, or players just got better/more aggressive since I left town. Did well in the tourney. They had 38 runners for the $40 buy-in, and I ended up chopping three ways for $333. Had to suck out once aipf against AK and 99 with AJ. Jack on the turn for the scoop! That triple up got me to the final table, and it was just patience after that and picking the right spots since everyone had less than 10 big blinds at that point.

Halfway though the tournament a guy next to me, "Doc", asked me if my hand would be in my trip report. Turned out he was an acquaintance of Jose's and lurks this thread now and then. Shout out to Doc. He got me good, limping kings and calling my 15bb shove with AQ. Luckily he was really short, and I didn't get knocked out there.

Also, if the guy with AK in the hand above reads this thread (you seemed like a decent fellow), you walked out on your bar tab. Might want to go back and square up.

I just got back from up north. Went Soaring Eagle Fri and Sat night. I can honestly say that they have the worst dealers I have ever seen. Both nights I stopped playing poker because the dealers were horrible.

I wonder how much traffic they get. Last time they had the Heartland tour, I played at a cash table where a dealer twice pushed me the pot even though I did not have the winning hand. The first time it happened I had folded preflop!

Zing! NH sir. Your more likely to find natural jugs on a pornstar then a website on tournamnet structures downtown. I think Greektown might still run tournamnets but I'm not sure if they fill 4 tables anymore.

i went down a few weeks ago for the end of month tourny at greektown and there was a sign saying "all tournaments have been cancelled until further notice"...
