She had binked some big tournament in the past, so her face might be recognizable to some. She showed me one of those cheesy pictures of her holding two cards with tons of money on the poker table from an online magazine article on her phone.

She liked to talk about how much money she had lost playing high stakes PLO and at slots. Not sure what the angle was if there was one. Maybe looking for sympathy?

Yeah no good there.. not normal for downtown, but not surprising when the streets get that busy on weekends, its like mardi gras from 11 to 3am on that street.

that shooting happened when we were there and I talked to some people outside about it when I was leaving around 2am. I remember asking the dealer about what was going on (the one with the inner lip ring) and she said that she shouldn't talked about it for some reason.

Things like this happen more at Greektown. There was a shooting last year that the news didn't pick up.

Things that happen *inside* the Casino or the parking structure usually have a tight lid kept on them for PR reasons. That's part of why you never hear about jumpers either.
