Fun meet-up for sure. Night started in typical GT fashion..."When we said we'd deal HORSE we meant 1-2 NLHE. The local color I hired to distract O8 worked to perfection. Once she announced " i have big pair" he was a goner. He kept staring her down and asking "you have big pair now?" then giggling. Move your eyes a little down and to the right and you'll see the wedding ring that was on at the start of the night is nowhere to be found. He and ghost were murmuring in chinese with her all night, and apparently there is another kind of meetup scheduled I wasn't invited to. I had the misfortune to sit to the right of notsofriendly ghost. He immediately started punishing me and in no time my first buyin was arranged neatly in his stack. I had to pull out the caveman...every hand is a checkraise strategy to finally slow him down. I knew I would need to use all my wits to get even, so I cleverly got AA vs KK against beau.
Finally got to meet Alex who has been hiding from me. He won the first annual HORSEY award for best feigning ignorance of a game and proceeding to win half the pots each orbit. He has a strange habit when he bets. He grabs a seemingly random amount of chips and flips them with a flourish into the pot shouting "IT'S THE SUMMER OF ALEX".
The local color kept announcing in true gangnam style how much she could afford to lose. Ghost was a true gentleman right to the end. And when the game broke he offered to stay and play her HU if she wanted.
The big bet games definitely dominated the mix. The friendly 4-8 limit games turned into, "hey Ghost is really trying to take all my money." Great job by O8 as usual setting it up. Pro tip...next time we meet make sure to spend lots of time studying the stud games.

Excellent tri report. Kind of tilted me when seat 9 (guy who won the 1200 plo pot overcalling ith 8875 nonsuited aipf) woud sit out o8 round and just nitred up after he won that pot.

That guy was baffling. Everything he said contradicted his actions.

The pot in question had me, the Asian woman, and a third player all in preflop at PLO with seat 9 asking how much the third player has. The Asian woman kindly says the third player has seat 9 covered and he's just like "I KNOW THAT I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT POT ODDS I'M GETTING IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT???" And we're all like chill bro and he's like "I KNOW HE HAS ME COVERED. I'M HERE TO GAMBLE!" He then calls and wins by rivering a straight and berates the dealer as he stacks his new chips. Then HE says WE are too sensitive when he freaked out to someone's perfectly reasonable response to his question. And then he proceeded to not plan any O8 or play a pot for more than $50.

Fun night though despite dusting off a couple buy ins. Good to meet some new peeps and see some boobs. Also really satisfied that I bluffed Mr. Sensitive with complete air in NLHE. Dude was such buzz kill for the game.

Could anyone tell me what the seating capacity is for poker tournaments at Soaring Eagle, and when the most players are playing tourmaments? I'm assuming that Saturday night and holidays would be the best time to get a large prize pool, but I have no idea about capacity.

I've only once played a tournament with more than 60 players. It was a four-times a year charity tournament at the Masonic Lodge in Schoolcraft several years ago. It wasn't just a tournament, it was an event. There was a one-hour break for a catered dinner.
