You'd be crippled to a 386bb stack if you called and bricked the turn. Luckily you folded and now you have a safe and healthy 424bb stack.

FK update: Obviously this past Thursday - Sunday has been much better action than usual due to the influx of players, but there's been consistently good action over the past couple months.

Thursday nights there is 1-3 PLO that is match-the-stack, meaning you can buy up to the biggest stack on the table. Can get pretty deep, and lately there's been 3 tables running on Thursday nights. Fun action if you like Omaha.

Saturday's there's been 2-5 going pretty regularly, plus 1-3 PLO on occasion. Fridays have been hit or miss, but there's been some huge games now and then. 2-5 NLHE and PLO. Plus 1-2 NL is a $400 cap, so those games can play bigger than usual.

Finally, there's the Big Game, which is the 10-25 RxR that runs Monday nights. It's semi-private till 10:30pm. Will probably break soon for the WSOP and then get back up and running later this summer. Not uncommon for the table to have 6 figures on it.

GL Coach. Let me know if you wanna come spew at Keepers and I'll send a beer to the men's bathroom.

I'm not familiar with all the faces from there, but Curtis does make the trip over. The game is actually propped by some guys from Lansing + Grand Rapids, plus Horseshoe Chicago guys make their way up there.

Two tables have gone with this game when the right amount of guys show up.

Will be back in town from Thursday to Monday. What's my best course of action if I want to play PLO? FK or MCC?

Hey all, I'm looking to improve my poker skills and I was wondering if there are any coaches out there. I've been playing for a while now but would love to raise the level I play at. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't market myself at all specifically because I much rather play poker, but I'm a coach. Omaha (frank) has taken lessons from me for a couple sessions whom participates in this thread, and I have a few more other references. My audience is specifically for NLH cash games.

Now that I have the ability to play poker on my iPhone on Bovada all day at work, and I just dusted off a quick hundo, I either have to quit being a poser and take my ADHD meds and learn this game or I may need some coaching.

Don't feel bad. Probably 70% of 2+2ers are losing players

Obviously Coach is the best coach. Don't be offput when teaching occurs in bathroom stalls.

Been playing, loving, and losing for about 10 years. Enjoy doing the work off the felt and pretty much know the odds and equity's. Get to the table and all analytical thinking goes out the door window. I guess being 50 years old with the memory of a goldfish doesn't help ones poker career. When I get back to the states gonna hook up with my shrink and add some brain meds to my bipolar meds. :-)

Will be in Detroit today through Monday. Don't see a thread for the MGM poker room. Is that not the best poker room in Detroit? If not, what is? Looking for 1/2-1/3. Thank you.

so does it no longer exist or is there just a better poker room in the city?

People will tell you that Motor City has the best poker room in the city. But I think MGM is a little better for $1/2. The buy in cap is higher ($300 instead of $200) and the tables are bigger (10 handed vs 9 handed). The room itself is nicer too.

If you want $2/5 or above, MCC will have more games and action. But for $1/2 I'd rather go to MGM.

Side note: All the rooms in the city (state?) are kind of poorly run compared to Vegas or AC.
