+1 on how to check if we're qualified for the free roll. Almost positive I am. If that's the case do you have to register, and what additional steps must be taken other than showing up?

Play poker in the high stakes room. Borgata just installed new flat screens for you to watch the game. Drinks are free. Donk off some chips as you get wasted and watch the game. gg.

i prolly wouldn't enjoy playing poker and watching the game at the same time so i won't suggest the poker room esp. if you're really into MNF. my choice: The Amphora Lounge. it's ten points off your black card pp (you can bring 1 guest on your card) and they have big screen tv's, comfortable chairs, and top shelf liquor(as well as a pretty decent buffet) and then you can eat/drink til you drop w/out any additional costs (aside from the tip) and enjoy the game without the distractions of poker.

but yeah, if you were looking to play poker while watching the game, then the poker room has great tv's and of course, the drinks would be free, too, but they might not offer all of the beers/wine etc. as they would over at the lounge, but whatever.

Yeah. Amphora lounge has grey goose, and macallan 12. Can't believe they expect us to drink ketel one or Johnny walker on the casino floor. Yes, I'm stuck up when it comes to liquor.

^ and if you don't have a Black Card, then just find someone who does and have them take you to the lounge.

Yeah. Give them 10 bucks for their 10 comp $ and pick up the tip. I take my friends for free all the time. I pick up the comp, they pick up the tip.

Dont you have to have $10 in comps on your card to go there? I remember, my friend who had a black card didnt have $20 total in comps for the 2 of us so we had to go gamble more to get in....I think thats what happened..

amphora lounge *stops serving* at 9 and won't let you in after that, but if you're seated before 9 they will allow you to stay. I watched a MNF game there just a few weeks ago (along with a few other tables) and we were all allowed to stay and watch the game. one suggestion though: before it reaches 9 o'clock, i would ask my server if i need to order up my drinks now or would i be able to get a drink after that seeing that i was already seated etc..

they cut off alcohol at 9, you can stay for a while after but the tvs go off in 45 mins-hour

Yeah you do, I was saying give the $10 to the person who's getting you in if you don't have your own black card.. to compensate them for the comp $ they're spending.

Regardless, the amphora lounge is the best deal in town. It's good food (the ONLY buffet in town I like), good liquor if you're drinking (unfortunately I usually play on swing shift [8 PM - 4 AM] so I can't take advantage of that), and costs half as much as getting just a sandwich somewhere else.

My only complaint is that there's a line far too often. Wish they'd increase the charge for it, or limit it to people who earned 2000+ comp $ (or do something like what harrahs did. $30 for black card holders, $10 if you earned 2000+ in a year). Titaniums do get to skip the line but I have no idea what the requirement is to get that. I'm up to like $8K comp dollars earned this year so far.

doubt it, something sounds wrong
last time i was there all of the workers were cleaning up and getting ready to leave by 945-10 and the tvs just went off
I really doubt they were going to stick around another 2 hours

the tv's don't "just go off". but i'm not doubting you and i'm sure the workers turned them off and wanted to leave. but, we did leave a hefty tip (in fact, we gave the tip ahead of time) and we stayed there until the game was over. did we get lucky that time? i dunno. but you'd be surprised how different people react when there's $ in the picture. that said, they did start to remove the dessert trays WAY too early for my liking but i wasn't going to say anything.

i'm really done w/this topic./
