The best deals in town for comps.
While the new look of the food court is nice, I really thought that with no more name brand restaurants they would've had the comps at 1:1. But nope... guess they gotta pay for all that fancy Italian Market crap that nobody wants.

Just go to wolfgangs and get the burger. Comps are 1:1 and the burger is way better

2/5 or 5/10 runs almost every day

has nothing to do with Borgata, from what I was told it was a single vendor who signed a lease for and renovated the entire food court

like a previous poster said there's a ton of better 1:1 options, or pay for your room in comps and use real $$ downstairs

Yeah, if you have a black card you should definitely save your comps for the amphora lounge.

2/5 basically runs every day. on weekdays not during tournaments it's usually just 1 table mostly filled with people buying in for 200-400 dollars who never raise preflop and want to run it 39 times when they get all in.

I believe the way it works is, if borgata pays for everything itself wholesale (buffet, noodles, wolfgang) the comps are 1:1. If borgata must shell out full price for things (ben and jerrys, new food court owners, the convenience stores) comps are 2:1.

Only use comps on room reservations for full value, for buffet and amphora lounge if black card, and for casual dining restaurants (and bread and butter) when desired (but not often without a ton of extra comp dollars)

Can someone splain me some PLO? I'm going down this weekend with a buddy who's thinking of playing, and will grill me about it for a good bit of Parkway like I know. I know Omaha, and the general idea of pot limit, I'm just wondering the specific mechanics of the 1-2 game at Borgata.

Blinds 1 and 2, and then...? Always a bring-in? Sometimes a bring-in? The bring-in is instead of $2 limps?

I could just let him get in the game and figure it all out himself, but that won't stop him asking questions the whole drive.

lately it's been a bunch of supernits so just straight up 1-2. sb=bb for pot size calculations, utg can open up to 8

5 bring in means that any time someone enters the pot it's a minimum of 5 instead of 2

Thanks. Does the bring-in make everything multiples of $5 from the start? (Open raise can be $10 instead of $9?)

pretty much. sb+bb now counts as 5, so you can open for 15

Another increase, starting March 1st, Amphora and Buffet will cost $12.50 comp dollars for Black cards. So far, I don't see any good from MGM buying Borgata

Honestly, I'm shocked it hasn't gone to 15 bucks 3 years ago. Still a great perk.

Dealer change.

Throw a few hands away with the new dealer then the dealer while asks player 4 to sit in front of his cup and while he moves the dealer spanks his six stacks to the deck during a hand....

OMG - I nearly fell off the chair looking at Player 4's face as he has to restack his chips.

Enough comments around the table to suffice that the dealer should be swabbed or at least have their immigration papers checked.

Searched the thread and this was the last relevant post about mixed games.

Anyone interested in starting a semi-regular mixed game? 10-20 maybe? I don't see any very often at all.

I'd be down for pink chip mixed game

Pink is probably best. Not too big, not too small, and those mounds of pink chips always draw attention. (And maybe don't let them hide it in a corner...in the upper teens at the 1-2/2-5/2-4 border probably gets it seen more, and you want it seen.)

You'd probably want to follow the example of the Luxor group in LCP: set a day and time in advance, round up the players.

If you just go whenever and start an interest list, you're probably not going to get a game. If you bring the players and get a game going, and can make it a regular thing, it might grow some legs and run not need quite so much constant care and feeding. There hasn't been sufficient and sustained interest to keep low-mid limit games and small mixed games alive as a general feature of the room.

Would Borgata spread 2-5 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo? Maryland Live had a random 2-2 pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo game running on a Saturday; albeit, that was like 3 years ago.

plo8 hasn't run in forever, borgata will spread any approved game if you bring enough players though

your chances are higher if you're a fun player - torch a few buyins at straight plo and it just might convince enough players to switch

What games would be included in the pink chip mix? If we could get 4-5 of us to start short I'm sure the game would fill up. I'd be down for this Saturday AM for a few hours. We could start the game at 10 and see how it goes. I'd be fine with OE, OOE, or HOSE.
