That's how almost all Vegas rooms were until recently. I hardly ever got comp credit because I would be pissed off after busting out and just leave.

So here's the story I heard about the poker tracking system (from a management person) and the reason that we don't have to swipe out which is also the reason we aren't getting hourly credit:

They bought the poker tracking system from one company and the rest of the casino's tracking system from another. The 2 can't communicate and that is what is taking so long to resolve. GL to us all, the lighting still isn't what it should be even though I filled out a comment card.

How is the rake in the 1/2 games?

This is where I'd probably have to go whenever I'm ready to start playing live, but I'd rather just stay away if the rake is horrible.

It's 2/3 now so the rake is less intolerable than the old 1/2.

So are we getting points for playing?

Not as far as I know. That's why they gave us the $50 this month, to make up for it.

The 3 is the jackpot, right? It gets dropped on any flop? That's beginning to approach Cali badness.

Did they give a second $50.00 credit?

So the lowest limit in there is 2/3?

Damn, harder to be rolled for shots at that as a novice.

No, no. The blinds have gone from 1/2 to 2/3 so, since they take $1JP right away and $2 on any flop, the ridic situation of sometimes (often enough) having $3 in the pot on the flop is gone. I've tipped that entire $3 twice just to be able to say that I've tipped entire pots!

When did they give the first one? Who all received it?

Does anyone know what the point exchange rate is for player reward points when you're ordering food?

thanks!

That's for sure. I know both Ray and I know Bobby Hoff - not much older than me at least, and a stroke seems to have felled him. Hard to believe and hard to process.

Pretty much anyone who clocked in at any time got at least $55. It's been discussed in this thread, but basically take your card to the customer service desk just outside the poker room and ask them how much of a credit/reward you have, and ask them for it in cash.

As for the dinner credit, I was told it was 10% right now because the rewards system isn't working (there's no trading in points or whatever because we aren't getting points) But I could be wrong about that. I'll ask one of the servers.

Mark

So do all the October promos end on Nov 1? It seems like their promos starting in November are lower rake on tourneys and high hand jackpots.

FYI I checked on the points on our cards thing last night.

We are supposed to be getting points if we're clocked in, and we do not need to clock out at the moment. We can use these points to pay for food.

Unfortunately, even though I've been there on average probably twice a week and almost always clock in, I had 0 points on my card. Getting the $55 bonus at the beginning of the month wiped off all our points I believe.

Also, if you play in the high limit area, you need the floor to actually clock you in. For instance, this scenario which is pretty common for me, would lead to you getting no points: You come in, clock in, then roll back to the high limit area. Floor sees you, seat is open in your normal game, they motion you over and you play.

Even though you clocked in with your card for the game, the floor has to actually 'insert' you into the game at their computer. Hope that helps.

You should always be able to play 20-40, it goes almost 24 hours a day. Anything bigger is hit and miss.

Spoke with one employee yesterday who made the very insightful point that the difference between the games this year and last year is that it was likely that last year the big gamblers still had a some cash available on their home equity loans. This year the bigger games are terrible, and I don't think they'll come all the way back until real estate rebounds.

Give them some stock tips so they can make some money in their portfolios, and bring it to the tables.

Do people make trades from the poker table? Seems like it would be natural.
