The 20 is still okay, not what it was last year, but still okay. I play only intermittently, but my guess is there is at least one going from noon till after midnight, and often 2 during peak hours.

Do you really do any coaching? I'm just a 3 or 5 grinder thats constantly in awe of the giant stacks that the nicely dressed gentleman has in front of him at the 10 game.

My daughter informed me yesterday that neither of her friends will be making the trip. She also told me that she wants to learn how to play blackjack "properly" so she'll be needin' a coach for that. For anyone that's interested, please apply in person to HB since I'm putting him in charge of coach selection.

Pope, I'm disappointed. Do I seem like the kind of guy that wouldn't invite Curly if I wanted The Three Stooges to be there?

I don't know what's typical, but I'll be in the 20 game the last week of the month. My tourist camo cover has pretty much been blown, but I'm still gonna wear it anyway.

I'm glad you've never met my daughter 'cause I'm gonna have her introduce herself by sitting in your lap while you're at the table. Then I'll have her sweat you for a while... or maybe it'll be the other way around.

By 'okay' hopefully DC means "the 20 is never bad, it's just that sometimes it's much better than others."

Weekdays it appears to run from about 11am (it starts later than the day 40 or 60) till whenever it dies, which is usually around 2am but sometimes as early as midnight, unless it goes shorthanded all night. There will be at least one, 2 have been going w/more frequency lately. There'll be at least one must-move game on both Fri and Sat's.

Evening brown chip games (40 and or 60) have been going a lot more often lately, tho about 50% of the time they're HO8 (and more rarely as a fuller mix w/stud8 and sometimes 2-7), and run pretty much every weekday, and def on weekends. Green chip-and-up LHE-only games are spotty, but do happen.

Time-charged LHE games in general have picked up a ton since mid-November. They'll prolly slow down a bit over the holidays, but should pick up again in Jan and at least through till mid-spring.

I've heard HB is quite the blackjack coach. He can also properly teach her how to drill into a safe on casino property.

Drinking is a mandatory minimum requirement at my hosted events. Hell, we even got HB to have a glass of wine last year. Man-up.

LOL ETA: When I first read your post, I thought it said, "You are my only friend cause I drink."

Yeah, they started spreading it at 75 over a year ago.

I always complain how bad I run at holdem... but then I realized that all those times I get 23o or 27o just meant I was playing the wrong game... lowball is more my end of the spectrum. Can't wait for thurs/fri, Full Tilt has both a miniFTOPS 27TD and a NL27SD on the docket... If you're saying its a 75/150 game at CAZ then I guess I better find some courage... or more money. LOL

Its almost always at 75 limit, very rarely at 60, in either case its part of a rotating mix wherein the game changes every orbit.

Occasionally they spread a straight 2-7, though that isn't often, it just depends on the line-up.

Its just chips, nothing more. And your poker bankroll isn't real money unless you spend it.

Got to keep this perspective or you will spew with your spending habits.

LOL is it a problem if I'm evaluating the cost of potential christmas presents in number of big blinds?

The bigger problem I'm having is assigning a proper range to that damn blender in seat 2...

(Someone call a medic, think I've finally lost it )

When I first started playing 5/10 NL I used to have random thoughts like "humm that pot was 3 months of mortgage payments"... The first pot I won that had a significant amount of hundos in it I had to have them changed into chips because a stack of bills was money and not chips. Now its hard to think about money at all... until it hits the personal account, then I am still a skinflint, cheap old bastard that still clips coupons and buys on sale.

Start working on your Fargo accent, and that time of year everyone will think you're a snowbird, eh.

We played 75 HOT today, and added Baducey late in the afternoon. Despite no lessons or experience, I must be very good at Baducey because I almost won several large pots, and the boys think I'm a natural and sure to win one soon, or at least half of one.

Occasionally the 40 has played HOT, though if they want to mix it up usually it's HO.

I used to coach online but live coaching would make me kill myself. Plus I'm mostly just lucky and that's really hard to coach
