Played alot today with mixed result. Didnt play near my A-game at all at the beginning and just wasnt focused enough. Kept getting disturbed by random things and didnt have the patience to just sit and focus on playing. But towards the last sessions it got a little better but still not good enough.

Still needing 10 buyins at PLO75 in order to take a 10 buyin shot at PLO150. So hopefully that will be soon and I will problably post a graph for a longer period when that happens. Tomorrow Ill be posting some hands for you guys who find it interesting.

Did some reviewing of my progress since threadstart. Starting with $200 1 1/2 months ago, Ive made it to $5500 playing PLO15/30/60/75. Ive withdrawn $1600 in mid december and my roll stands on $3900. Im purging my database from time to time and I will try restore it all on saturday and post a graph since thread start.

So Im heading into february starting at PLO60/75 and Im setting some goals for the month tomorrow. Been changing my approach a bit and I think its important to be flexible if you see that a strategy you choose isnt as good as you want it to be.

A possible scenario would be to spread out my roll and play mainly at an RB site and at svenskaspel when theres value. What do you guys think about it?
I can't see why you need to pick other sites that have (mostly) 5% rake whereas Svenska Spel has 2.5% (with lower caps), which is equivalent to a 50% deal on its own, and it's ultrasoft (I'm jealous ). So if you e.g. have ~65% avg cashback at a range of .com sites (I doubt you could get more unless you concentrate on a single site), you pay 5 bb/100 in effective rake (rake minus cashback) at your levels, whereas at SS you pay 8 bb/100. Do you get extra 3 bb/100 in pre-RB winrate at SS due to increased fishiness? It needs research but I'm pretty sure you do. So imho SS should still be your main site when there are not enough soft tables available elsewhere (I'm not sure how SS compares to e.g. MPN (Microgaming Poker Network) in fishiness; say, if there are enough full SS tables with 55%+ VPIP and 35+ bb avg pot then SS is definitely softer ). Variance is definitely to be considered but fishiness decreases bankroll requirements because the extra winrate vs fish more than outweighs the gain in variance

how's the nlhe action?

I don't know about the action as I don't have the luxury of being a Swedish citizen, but here's the official proof of the 2.5% rake: https://svenskaspel.se/?pageid=/poke...formation/rake

Not so much action above 25/50 SEK, (about the same as 4/8)

But today the ran a 200/400 table and a couple of omaha 50/100 tables. All tables are 200BB tables aswell

Looking good Viktor

Been thinking of how to set my goals for february and I keep getting back to the raising my standards. Theres a speaker named Anthony Robbins, which is the nuts for mental aspect of poker, that talks about success and how to get there. He only got three words for it and it is "raise your standards". Simple as that. Of course theres alot of work behind this phrase and he explains how to approach it in alot of his videos. So I will basically try implement most things he says and I will post some stuff I find interesting and has worked for me.

So february will consist of alot of volume and working on my mental game around poker. I think volume is key for me at this point as I know I got an edge at PLO75 and its just a matter of variance holding me back. Im soon rolled for taking shots at PLO150 and I might even go ahead and shortstack it next weekend, since its just too profitable to not do.

However, if the AA103 isn't tilt, it's a huge post flop mistake to be calling after its gone bet/shove.

Closer with a fd but on a dry board like that he just always has Qxxx and likely AQxx. So it'd be 1or2 outs. Other than that seems like you crushed. We'd!

Hm Im not sure hes more likely to have AQxx then Qxxx. I actually think its less likely since he wants proximity from my range that consists pretty much of AAxx here.

Sick day. Cant remember last time I ran like today. It got ugly losing almost any 80/20 and 70/30 pots. Im not that dissapointed because I did play decent overall and as long as Im playing well, it doesnt really matter. But as I want to try PLO150 soon, I need to run at least OK.

PLO150 is a bit away now. Been changing around with my rapports and session management so Im currently playing max 1 hour and then I need to sitout/leave and do anything else for at least 2-3 minutes. If theres alot of fish I just go get water and do some pushups or whatever and Ill get back before seat is gone. If Im not feeling at my best Ill just do anything else for an hour or so. Works good for me so Im going to keep doing this.

Been working more and more with my mental game and I think its been very beneficial this far. Working more on this part means that Ive been slacking a bit with technical poker stuff. I will try make more time to analyze troublespots and watch videos/read. My game is looking pretty solid right now and Im happy with that I feel like Im progressing every day.

My bankroll is taking a hurting right now. I feel pretty good with how I play and how I tackle the bad beats and coolers but still the result might be forcing me to move down again. Ive been playing PLO75/60 for 1.5 months now and I know I can crush it, which is reinforcing my confidence when having a bad run at things.

Ive learned that in order to succeed, doing "good" isnt enough. Im playing good and Im studying good, but its not enough, In order to get all the rewards I need to get to the next level. So starting tomorrow I will reshape how I manage this thread and you guys will see a different theme of things. I also need your help. Any day that you see that Im not doing what I said I would do, you need to tell me.

Although you feel confident about your game, there's no harm in moving down! You need to maintain a bankroll to succeed, so protecting it is your #1 priority. You'll get it back eventually!

Have been some changes last few days and Im very happy with how things are turning out. Im going to play backed and start out at PLO75/60 until were comfortable taking it to the next level basically. I see alot of positive things with this switch and basically it forces me to just keep doing the fundamentals of poker the best I can. Im hoping this will take me to the next level.

I will try to develop this thread abit by posting more hands and theory behind my game and hopefully you guys find it useful. Im very motivated and I will keep this momentum until I reach my goals.

I might look into doing some studying soon but no work. Im currently dividing my time between girlfriend, fotball, friends and poker. Poker is basically all I think about and whenever I can Im playing, reviewing, reading and analyzing poker. So Im very focused and determined about making a career out of this.

I really think having a second perspective on your game is vital for your development. Its easy to just get determined about some way to play or whatever and it might not be that good as you think it is. So today was a great day, if i exclude the result of course Still running a little ****ty but had a taste of run good in the middle session so hopefully Ill get momentum from that to keep riding on.

            Hand 1

I think preflop is very standard with the stackdepths that we have. I think having both the flushdraw and 4 fullhouse outs going for us, we have to get it in here? Were 38% vs AAxx, and in worst case were 20% vs AcAKcx. I dont think donking is very good though, with the deeper stack on BTN.

                Hand 3

BTN got a 3bet of 31.3% over 97 hands and I prefer taking it HU then 3way OOP, so imo 4bet is best play. Even if he shoves on us, Im quite happy because were doing quite good vs AAxx. On flop, I dont think we have much choice other then shove.
