Got in an alright grind today, not really pushing anything until detox is over, and then will get back into playing some long days. Also played my first 6m hts this month, really short session of offpeak games just a bit ago.

Continuing to run good at the 18mans, waiting for a bad day to come . I've decided to not play higher than $30 bi's until I reach SNE as I think I will finally be out of MU once I hit the $20k bonus at 1mil vpps (yn), and therefore will be eligible to buy up to 50% of my own action, which I will do for 18mans only. Continue playing just $30 and below 18mans for a while after buying said action as I'm pretty busto right now and hopefully build and move up having half my action for rest of the yr and hopefully all my own action in 2013!

Hi Josh. Doesnt 18-mans work in HEM1? I get it to work in PT4 but not HEM1. And I cant find average minutes/sng i PT4, do you have any idea of the avg runtime?

Not sure what you're meaning exactly; if you're talking EV line, then no, an AIEV line doesn't work for 18mans in any program; they only work for 1 table tournaments (HU through F50s/DoNs).

Honestly don't really know the avg gametime and like you not knowing where it's at in PT4, I don't know where to find it in HM2, plus I've only played 500 18mans thus far . Would assume something like 35 mins, but could be way off

Sundayfundayyyy, just woke up and will be getting my bfast delivered in about an hour and then will be getting on the grind. Going to try to play 2 sessions of 18mans today, 4hrs with a break then 3 hrs with a break, and then play an additional 1-2 hours of 6m hts tonight once I'm done. Gla!

in hem1 ev line for 18mans does show, but it is around 2-2.3 times too big. Well at least as far my experience goes what it shoes, for a decent sample of 9k games it was 2 times as big as green winnings line. so it could be an indication of where an ev line could be

No. It is a indication of how often you bust before ft and that you are not importing tourney summaries.

well, see here: in this sample I run pretty much around where my ev should be imo. and ev is kinda 2-2,2x too big. plus, there is 2x around 2k games breakeven in there, where red still goes up. Just think even if it's not a real ev LINE in hem1, but the real one COULD be somewhere 40-50% of it

Detox is going pretty good, today starts day 8 of 10. Been a lot of good food, only thing I haven't really liked was the vegan pancake .

I think I'm going to stay here for 1 more yr, I was expecting this to be a big money yr for myself and that doesnt look like it's going to happen and I know that when I move to somewhere really fun/nice that I'll just not grind that much anymore, so think I'll stay here and just grind my ass off in 2014 and try to make a ton of $$sies.

I've always heard good things about Peru, but I'm pretty sure I'll be moving to white people land .

Put in a good amount of 18m volume yesterday and some added 9man turbos at the start of my sessions, but ended up not grinding after ~7:30pm and therefore didn't play any 6m hts.

Need to get better about that, the added 6m HTs at night are really going to benefit my VPP count and get me to SNE so much faster, and the faster I get to SNE, the faster I get to take half my own action. If I can train myself to play a 6-7 hour straight session of 18mans, I'll actually start adding in more 6m hts as I could play an 18m sesh from about 9:30am-3:30 or 4:30pm, take a break, and then just load 6m hts off and on until I went to bed. Def have to build up to that though, I'm still struggling to play more than 3.5 hours at a time...but it's a process!

Yea anyway, its 9:20am now and I just got my bfast and lunch delivered to me, so I'm going to eat and then hit the grind, gla today!

Seems like an awesome choice grinding the 18-mans. Will make less FPPs, maybe lower hourly (donno) but way way way less stress and its nice to win money from the tables aswell as FPPs right?

What do you think probability range of you being profitable at > $100k post-rb is this year?

Yea, I'm basically trading some hourly for 'easier' grind hours. Like I still struggle to put in the hours playing 6m hts (both session to session hours maxing at basically 1.5 hours and entire month hours as I'm averaging like 75 ht hours/month).

Basically looking for a way to reduce variance, steadily win pre RB while also keeping SNE very reachable, and think this grind will be good for me in 2014 as I should be able to roll myself quite easily for all my action, which is obv pretty important imo.

Very low if not 0%, playing all $30 and under stakes for the rest of the yr so won't get too many more VPPs. Trying to decide if I'm going to go for 1.25mil or not, will know probably early next week at the latest, and obviously will post about it when I know.

Been a really huge fail of a year results wise but I learned a lot, improved both my poker game and my 'real life' game, and think I will be a lot more prepared and better off down the stretch because of how rough this year has been.

I try to turn every negative and spin it positive, when I can't do that, the least I can do is learn from it and better myself because of it!

Aug 6th Update:

Past couple of days have been low volume as the end game of the detox has been more intense in that I'm getting less food, which has brought my energy level down quite a bit. Tomorrow is the last day of the detox, definitely learned a lot and the fact I've quit cigs, quit xanax, and plan on lowering my soda intake and my alcohol intake after the fact, along with eating a tad bit healthier, makes this a nice success imo.

Playing $15 6m hts during happy hour in about an hour and then going straight to bed, waking up again for the 7am happy hour and then will take a quick nap before my bfast shows up and then eat and get on the 18man grind! Probably play a 5 hour sesh of 18s, quit in time to run out my games and have a short break before the 4pm happy hour, where I'll put in more $15 6m hts.

Yea anyway, gonna review some hands before this happy, gla on the grind!

Was just hoping to make as much money or more as last year, 150k+. But yea, hoping to have all my own action at MTSNGs and at least half my action at 6m hts to start the year.

Detox is officially over, feeling pretty good right now about how well I did during it. Hopefully will continue to make semi good choices going forward, that tis the plan anyway .

The next 4 days I'm doing an hours prop with 1 of the other Rosa bros and fellow SNE, Mossified84. Base $ amount on who wins the bet and then an additional $10/hour owed by the loser by however many hours he loses by...that 2nd half of the bet definitely super +EV to add so in case someone (me) is getting showered, they don't just quit grinding .

Planning on grinding long hours of 18s entire 4 days, starting with the happy hour in the morning that is coming up in 14 mins and then loading straight through til the end of the next happy hour. Lets gooooo, gla today!
