I'm at table 11 so come say hi. Good luck at the cash tables!

So there's one fish on my table which is a positive. Also lost 6k of my 25k starting stack in the first level. Got tripled by the fish on an A high board, my AJ vs his AQ. Then called out the BB with J7ss vs a utg open. K67ss I check raise 350>1100 and get 3b to 2500 and call. 8d turn check fold vs 3100 bet. Will update at the break

Things going pretty awful so far. Halved my starting stack in boring fashion.

Called a 3b co v btn with 9Thh. Flop 865hxx check call half pot, 5 turn x/x river 8 and I bluff for 55% pot. Called by kings.

Other than that whiffing a few flops with 44-77. Still got plenty of chips, roughly 40bb so plenty of room to manoeuvre!

What's the standard of play like? Also to the guy playing cash, what stakes are running, and are the games good??

I personally didn't think the games were that good yesterday, relative to any other live poker outing.

I wasn't that surprised really, as they're never that great when big tournaments are on (unless you're playing 2/5 or 5/10 or higher). I ended up going next door anyway (pro tip if the biggest crushers are sitting out the games probably aren't that good!!)

        Sweet, if I'm still in!

My table has been ok gaz. The couple fish I had have unfortunately now bust though and it's now pretty reggy. I'm unsure about the cash games too, sorry.

Funny spot in the tournament. I got 12.5k Open 700 with KK 4 calls I'm oop to all. 9T3 cbet 1800, call in 2 spots. Turn 6r. I bet 3100 fold, guy thinks for a bit and puts in 5k chip and 100 to call but floor gets called and it goes as a min raise. I obv ship and he has to call JQo for the super sweat.

Was up to 28k which was average stack. At roughly 22k now. Made a fold near the break where a nit 3b btn v mp and I folded TT in the sb. He said he had jacks but was going to fold to a 4b. The classic

Why are we 3betting this hand against a fish's utg raise pre?

In Hand 3, with 79s again, your 3bet size is 4x compared to 3x in this hand. Any reasons?

the fish was very bad. my hand is too weak to call and in my opinion too strong to fold (this is definitely arguable though). The 2nd 3b, i have std 4x vs min open and 3x 3b vs 3x open. Hope that clears things up!

I understand that it's too strong to fold, but why do you consider it too weak to call? Would you rather call if it was MW and are 3b-ing because you want to take it HU?

When you say the fish is "very bad", does it mean he will check/fold flop to your cbet? Or is he the "bad" type to call you down with any piece? If he's the second type of "bad", isn't it a bad idea to 3bet him because we will have to flop TP or better?

Just trying to learn and get into your thought process, thanks!

Ben, in the 22 hand do you not think villain would play QT like that though?
