700pounds in London?! must have been a foodtruck for that many people or nandoos. don't think you get much else for that much.

When you say the fish is "very bad", does it mean he will check/fold flop to your cbet? Or is he the "bad" type to call you down with any piece? If he's the second type of "bad", isn't it a bad idea to 3bet him because we will have to flop TP or better?

Just trying to learn and get into your thought process, thanks!
Yeah it's definitely too weak to call because i would never flat a good hand there so the regs behind can squeeze at a very high frequency. If this was at micro stakes then calling preflop is definitely fine.

By bad fish i mean he will make fundamental mistakes as a whole. Because his preflop range is so wide he'll be getting to the flop with a load of hands that can't continue on a lot of flops.

Even if hes a kinda cally fish, i think it's still fine to 3b them because our skill edge is so great.

I think this villain is far more likely to just open QT. I guess it's feasible but that he could limp call but i just think they'd still x/c the turn.

Had an evening of thrice, home game and more thrice last night. I feel like i'm pretty gambled out but while the fish are in town i guess i gotta put in the hours. We played £1/£2, 7 handed, £400 min sit down, 72s and 72o £20 bonus and if you win 3 hands in a row everyone pays you £50. It was a chaos game to say the least.

epic poker face, these live kids

Had a session today and at one point i was down the most i've ever been down in a single session. It was hideous. Losing every big pot, made a couple bluffs and then had a 80 vpip whale at 1k 6m who took at least 2500 off me.

The month is pretty disastrous so far. down over 7k. I expect to have 2 losing months a year based on my past few years, but there is still plenty of time to get out of it.

We bailed on dinner last night as people were too tired, so we're out for a final meal at sticks and sushi tonight instead.

Will grind again tomorrow, dunno if cash or timbey. Motivation is pretty low!

Had a great first session today and a really poor second one.

Overall i played bad. Felt a lot of frustration from yesterday creeping into my game. Spewed too much, made awful call downs and bluffed in some horrendous spots. Will steady the ship tomorrow for sure.

The way i see it is we lose to everything he is going to bet there besides AK, but the combos of AK are outweighed by everything else we lose to.

I'd say he has TT here. The guy who CC the bb was a 75 vpip whale so he definitely 4b's TT pre. QT wouldn't ever 4b though. It's a really awful spot for me. The more i look at it the more i want to call now though

curious about the AK hand , do you think there would be benefit in designing a donking turn/jamming river range as when people bet that turn which polarize their range, it's kinda tough to play AK unless we are c/j. and b/c/b on this board is mostly always Qx+ for value sometimes flush too. regarding your play being nutted in some way, I just thought maybe the population is not slow playing enough. Probably snap too in his shoes when your perceive range is something like TT/JJ/88 with a spade or 98/T9 type hand.

I don't think that the turn is better for our range so i wouldn't be introducing a donking range and also villain has way more Axss than we do. I think it was and still is a pretty big mistake bet calling KQ here vs me because i only bluff AsK (i can't have AsJ as i never call the 3b pre) and i have many more value combos (3x99, 3xQQ, AKss, AJss, ATss and a somewhat discounted KJss/TJss). I also call AsQ otr. Even though my perceived range consists of many of the hands you stated, turning any of them into a bluff would mean i would be over bluffing massively. All in all, he caught me bluffing so i lose

thanks mate. i obviously only have QQ+ in that spot at 5k The only worse thing than getting coolered in that spot would be to bluff it off! Are you back to grinding live games in london a lot? How're things going?
