had feels like TT or JJ, more likely to be JJ based on villain not c.r flop (if he has JJ he knows its VERY UNLIKELY you also hold a J, therefore your hand range is weaker etc etc)

sick spot. prolly flat ha but I think its a fold

I doubt villain is c/c AA on JT2x with another player in the pot. It would be a good spot to c/r with AA or KK or even KQ type hands, so when he flats its like, wtf, why are you flatting on such a dry board?

can you post this in a Med stakes thread?

can I add people here on fb? I love using fb and 2p2ers
lol

What are some good headphones for grinding live? I currently use standard ipod earbuds but I want something with noise cancellation that goes over the ear.

this really is a hand for M-HS FR. But most of the regulars are in LV for the last week of WSOP. I think the question is does OP think the V will likely overplay a big pair here - if not it's got to be a fold IMO.
07-11-2012 , 11:11 PM
Villain only has sets or kq here imo
07-11-2012 , 11:12 PM
Yeah that spot is super sick, post a thread in mhfr for it
07-11-2012 , 11:14 PM
Please don't post in midstakes forum. The spot is standard anybody playing 5/10 should know about that donk line already. Its the nuts, especially with an aggressive player behind villain.

Phoenix has two famosas. CIBO and Pizza Bianco. the latter makes you wait in line outside forever, hence people consider it some kind of fetish. I think the food is the same.

Locally I found called Spinato's that is fairly good thin crust, although I prefer my pizza think and doughy.

I asked last month and someone suggested cotton balls.

Beware of big ones that fit entirely over the ear, your ears will get very hot. I settled on some mid sized Phillips ones from Best Buy.

btw I think big blaring earmuffs are bad for your table image. It puts people on notice that you are not a social gambler.
07-11-2012 , 11:25 PM
Yeah I think it is important to be able to listen to some action, also folding top two there isn't super standard, a decent player its leading out with the nuts however yes, check raises on the turn is like nuts in yo face
07-11-2012 , 11:27 PM
headphones are a leak imo, as are sunglasses.

keep the atmosphere friendly, try to pick info up, and dont look like stereotypical tag player

2 hands from a few months ago.

Villain tight passive. Only raises nutty hands and usually check folds when misses the flop.

Villain Raises ep to $25, call, I call otb with A10o

Flop A A 5

Villain checks, check, I bet $50, villain calls, fold

Turn 10

Villain checks, I check

River 8

Villain checks, I bet $100, he shoves, I snap call villain has AK.

So I'm like I got lucky ass ****. So I told myself I'm going to take the same line vs him when I get a chance.

Hand 2

Hero UTG raises QJ $20, villain calls

Flop J J K

Hero checks, villain checks

Turn 3

Hero checks, villain checks

At this point I know he has a king but I'm waiting for him to bet

River J

Hero checks, villain bets $100 lol, I shove for $600 more, he snap calls and slams KK and starts cheering. I flip over QJ and the table is in shock lmao.

With the limited information it is a standard fold.

Oh and I wear glasses. IMA douche though, or at least thats what the cool poker players say.

Personally I like oakleys, I do not wear glasses anymore but I will invest as I move up in the world. What specifically do you wear? Also invedt in senns, better than dres and cheaper
07-12-2012 , 12:27 AM
I wear the sunglasses with the ipod built into the frame.

I also stare down every player no matter how trivial the decision or how much money is on the line.
