Hi guys, another noob question.

How do I view old hands in my database? I'm trying to review my marked hands from the prior days, but the only hands I can find are under 'Play Poker > View Today's Hands'. This shows todays marked hands (obv) but not the last few days. How can I find those?

Really hacked off with HM's attitude towards HM1 users (SNG solution at least a few weeks away, we only care about HM2) so looking to switch. Simple question, is PT4 currently working with FTP SNGs (turbos and superturbos), including HUDs and results? Any reported issues with FTP SNGs that have yet to be resolved?

So many ways to accomplish this.
1) Use the Global Filters (More Filters). Select Hand Details - > Hand is Tagged As

2) From any hand report, use the TAG menu to filter to a specific tag or set of tags

3) From any hand report, click Show Marked Hands Only to display all marked hands, regardless of the tag selected.

#2 and #3 is how you are currently doing this in the View Today's Hands report, this interface is included in all reports across the application... perhaps you were not aware that you can double click to drill down in most top level reports to see hand details? Are you also aware that you can select different reports under View Stats on the left hand side frame, under the Active Player selector?

PT4 works with FTP SNGs including Turbos and Super Turbos if you use 4.05.5 or greater. We are continuing to address rare issues with the Tournament Detection for FTP as they are pointed out to us by our many users, this is something that only gets addressed as players submit problematic hand histories & summaries to us so we can update the detection engine to account for the new tournaments accordingly. If you find tournaments that are imported with the wrong results, then you can help us address this by creating a support ticket with your hand histories and summaries, we release a new version of the Tournament Detection engine every week (this is downloaded in the background automatically by PT4).

Please follow these instructions for submitting a Support Ticket, thank you for your help in advance if you find any tournaments which are not properly detected.

PS: To my knowledge we do not aware of any unfixed tournament issues with FTP at this time, I think we are caught up to date.

Going to be installing pt4 on a new computer - what files do I need to copy over to keep my settings? I've added some reports, saved some filters, edited some of the reports and I'm going to be reimporting my hands rather than transferring the db across.

So far I've exported my notes, copied the config, filters, hud and reports folders. Are there any others I need and is it a case of just pasting these folders into the pokertracker/data folder on the new computer and importing the notes?

Thanks

The easiest thing to do is to use our backup system (File -> Backup) - you can check or uncheck areas you do (or don't) want to backup - then it's easy to restore things on your new machine. We recommend including processed hands, but you may not want to include the PokerTracker 4 config file... this has the potential to create issues unless your PostgreSQL and database setup is an exact duplicate in the new computer.

Hey I upgraded to pt4 a while ago and only recently started using it recently. I'm having a strange issue though. It doesn't seem to be recording any post flop flop information. Is there anything I might have done to have this happen or what can I do to fix it? I'm on version 4.04.1 and play on Full Tilt.

That is the problem! Full Tilt support started with 4.05.5. Please upgrade, and your problem will be solved!

Ah ok. I was on the beta but thought that might have been what was causing the issue so went to the stable version. Will upgrade so thanks for the quick response

It is not wise to move backwards in versions of PokerTracker 4 without confirmation first from our staff. Database changes occur, this could result in improper data accidentally. In the future it always best to move forward in versions, not back.

PS: In some ways our "betas" are betas in name only, this means we are compiling regression testing results for a new feature(s) which was added, once the feature addition is complete then we leave the beta stage and release a stable. Truth is, most users are best off using our latest betas because this ensures the most resent updates... it is really rare that we introduce new issues in our betas thnx to our good alpha testing process, therefore you should be safe by always using the latest beta.

The issue PJs Ronin listed his ticket for is "Full Tilt "1r + 1a" summary imports as separate tournament", it was already fixed and is included in our next release.

Hello.

Just ordered PT4 and all work great till today when i started HU sng but forgotten open PT4 before starting sng and what happened is that HUD was not showing and hands was not imported.

I was trying to stop and start getting hands, stop and start HUD, close and open sng but nothing.

In next sng where PT4 was opened when sng was starting all worked fine.

Is this lag or there is way to fix it?

Thanks.

PT4 doesn't seem to show overlay net adjusted for FTP HU hyperturbos, is this a known issue or there is some problem on my side?

Please update to 4.0.5. If you are already using 4.0.5 then restart PT4 while you are connected to the internet without a firewall. This should solve your problem, but if you continue to have issues then please send us a sample hand history and summary for the tournament you had issues with.

Please follow these instructions for submitting a Support Ticket.

Once your tournaments are importing correctly, then you can re-run ICM/All In Equity Adjusted Winnings calculation on these tournaments to regain this missing data. In the Tournament Editor, select each tournament which is missing Net Adjusted Winnings data. Click Auto Detect, check Update Finish and click Detect. Close and then review your graph.

Pro Tip: Did you know that the PokerTracker 4 interface will automatically scale to the DPI size you sent in Windows? This is a great tip for those of you who have poor eyesight, or find our reports hard to read. Visit Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display to alter your screen's DPI settings and watch the PT4 user interface adjust. This is only useful for the reports though, the HUD and tables are not guaranteed to scale properly when using this feature, but for those of you who need to do some post-game analysis this is a great tip!

Truth is, I just discovered this today, that is why I am sharing with you all right now. The PT4 dev team never ceases to amaze me with surprise hidden features that make the user experience seamless as it can be!

There is a known issue with the 4 sub-tournaments importing OK but the 'overall' summary isn't imported , this means part of the buy-in and results are missing. To my knowledge this does not affect the HUD but I may be wrong (I dont have access to FTP personally). We are working on this for the next release I am told, but we need more examples provided by users such as yourself to help us account for all the possibilities when we parse the hand histories and summaries. Please see the link below to learn how you can help us, the more help we get, the faster we can address this issue for our players!

2K games is not a lot, your database should not be slow if you are using our a computer within the advised specs.

The closest option we offer is by selecting Sites & Import Options - > Preferences. Unselect Dead Cards and set Preflop Enumeration to NEVER. It is impossible to stop post-processing for tournaments because you need this data for result related stats, but you can stop all-in equity enumeration which takes up some considerable processing resources.

Hope that helps!

Run It Twice on PokerStars? We are still tweaking this functionality, we need more hand examples though to make sure we cover all of the bases. Please follow this guide to send us your example hands: Please follow these instructions for submitting a Support Ticket.
