hope this isn't too difficult but:

I haven't tracked tourney results for quite some time now. Basically I have no idea how much I am down/up in tournaments. Is there a way I can import all of my tournament/SNG results into HEM so I can get an idea of total profit/losses on the year? (I am not concerned with my overall places, just the +/- dollar amount on the tournament). Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I just bought Hold Em Manager (using with Merge - Carbon Poker) and it uploaded my cash games perfectly. However the tourneys seem really messed up. It seems it gets the buy ins messed up. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any idea what I can do? This is a big concern to me because I basically only play SNGs and that is what I want to use this for.

Thanks so much for your time, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is HEM planning on adding something where I can graph total profit for each day of the week? This would let me see what days of the week I make the most money and which ones I could just take off haha.

FOZZY WROTE: I was not able to reproduce this using my DB. Can you start a new thread on our forums with some screen shots? I will try again to duplicate it and can ask my co-workers to do the same.

Yes fozzy will do. Just one more thing I noticed was that I think the discrepancy is down to the speed with which the user applys the filters. I was ticking and then unchecking options and I think there was a carryover of data. I know that on pokertracker you have to do a manual refresh each time to apply a newfilter to clear the old results.

HEM moves the original hands after importing them to PostgreSQL to an archive folder. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

You can also export your current/entire DB to text files to backup - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

If you use the HUD notes you can export those from the Options > Notes > Export Notes - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/45/Notes

If you play tourneys you can export the Summaries and Results for each/all of your tourneys from the Dataview > Right-Click menu.

If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney summaries.

You can also do a database backup and then restore it on the new PC if you use the same version of postgresql.

*Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your current DB using these instructions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
*If you have moved/installed your DB to a non-default location, please make sure to change the 'Data Directory' path during the installation.

Pokerstars, I assume?

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars does not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, like FTP does.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Summaries.

Then later, you want to import the summaries on a regular basis:

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

Merge does not store the buyin information in the handhistory file We use the buyin from Options - Default Buyin.

You need to edit the tourneys manually in the dataview.

Right, because you probably dont have 25 hands on many opponents yet. Try setting that to 1 instead of 25 and you will see the HUD for any opponent you have played 1 hand against.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking.

The Tables Preferences > Min Hands for Stats will not show ANY stats for any player that doesn't have 25 hands in your DB already.

The Player Preferences > Options for {Selected Stat in Display list} > Min Samples, will display only -- for each stat with fewer samples than specified.

Some stats like VPIP are calculated based on every hand because you have a opportunity to VPIP every time you play a hand. You do not have an opportunity to 3bet, or Steal every hand, for example. For stats like these your number of samples (opportunities) will not match the number of hands played.

So, for example, if you set the Tables Preferences > Min Hands for Stats to 25 and also set all of your individual stat's Player Preferences > Min Samples to 25 also, you would see your HUD appear after 25 hands. For the common stats like VPIP/PFR/Agg/Hands you will see those displayed. The stats for actions which you have fewer opportunities for, such as Stl/F2Stl/3Bet/F23B, will be displayed as -- until you have had 25 opportunities for that stat.

I have no way of knowing. Even the developers probably don't know. We are trying to get the Rush HUD and Multi-Currency support added and stable in 1.10.0x. Once we get to that point we will begin on the 1.11 Beta versions.

I am trying to get a movement to have HM work completely with UB. Currently you have to manually input all tournament summaries into the application opposed to stars and tilt where it is all done automatically. If you are a reg at UB and use Holdem manager and would also like to see the same functionality for UB, please let the folks at holdem manager know so we can get a push to have this done sooner than later. Please post in this thread in support to have it done: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/poke...tml#post127095

thanks.

Or if somebody could create a script of some sort to convert the Emaild UB hand history that contains the summary of the results into a file that could be imported by HEM/PT3 that would probably work until they ever do release that option

This probably means the server terminated abnormally

Windows 7? Make sure the Secondary Logon is on Automatic. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services > secondary logon > right-click > start AND right-click > properties > startup type: automatic.

If it was already on automatic, skip steps 1 and 2, and go to step A.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Hol...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator
net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Pos...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

If you are still having problems Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.net/teamviewer. Please let me know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you. I schedule support from 12:00 - 22:00 EDT, 7 days a week.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmupdate

To get all your missed hands imported

1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

If that doesn't work, try a new DB:

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB

If none of that helps, start a thread on our forums or email me directly.
