*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

it was not this...as an experienced HEM2 user, this was one of the first things I checked.

Neither was it this. I've no idea why your HH are different to mine, but it is nothing to do with the fault as my HH are exactly as they have always been (still different to yours) and all works fine. moreover it was not logical to go down this road, since if that had been the fault, it would not have worked in cash would it?

I really think you guys are shooting yourselves in the foot by asking for all these files to be sent over, instead of listening to your customers and getting their thoughts first. As an ex IT support man myself, a well-described, detailed fault is a godsend when it comes to diagnostics and if you do that first, before asking for stuff which may or may not be useful, you might get an immediate steer to the best solution. Honestly, if i had not contacted you guys, i would fixed this myself two days earlier...and that can't be right.

Not carping...just hopefully providing useful feedback, four yourselves and the community. Your efforts, and your product, are appreciated and it must be something of a nightmare trying to keep as each skin changes...so keep up the good work.
I am glad it is working. I'm still not sure what it could be, except for a corrupt file.

I'm still curious as to whether you can see your hole cards in reports. If not, you should contact the skin support and ask why your hand histories do not have them.

I'm having a problem with a filter. I'm basically looking to check my play when facing a 3bet IP and OOP.

I've applied the following filter 'Faced Preflop 3bet = True AND 3bettor is in position = True'. When I run this for last month it only brings up 39 examples.

When I apply the filter and change the '3Bettor is in position' to False, I only get 13 examples.

When I remove the 2nd part of the filter and just run it for 'Faced preflop 3bet = true', I get 489 examples.

Please export the filter file and email it to us, along with a link to this thread.

Actually I've just realised this seemed a little familiar and I emailed fozzy re this a few months back

I can't see a reply but it's possible someone from support emailed me about it and I've forgotten what the answer is. The old memory is failing me

Actually, If I remember rightly it had something to do with the '3bettors position' field that Fozzy had circled in the image he has posted. I set it to '3bettors position' and run the filter but everytime I go back to look at it, it has changed back to 'raisers position'

Hi all, I'm trying to install HM2, but I am having issues with installing postgres.

I keep getting the message "An error occured executing the microsoft runtime VC++ installer"

I tried downloading postgres 9.0, but than when I try to install that I get the message "Unable to write inside TEMP environment variable path"

I have searched around a lot on Google and found a lot of threads containing fixes, but they seem to be written for people who fairly computer literate, I have tried but am unable to follow the instructions, they might as well be written in Marsian.

Can anyone post, or link me to, a complete STEP BY STEP idiots guide to getting around these problems.

Thanks in advance.

Please see this to uninstall visual c++

http://www.ehow.com/how_6573753_remo...e-library.html

and then reinstall it:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5555

When installing Postgres 9 make sure to save it to your desktop or my documents folder when downloading and not your temp folder as some applications can't run successfully from your temp folder.

Anyone else got any ideas? I'm still stuck.

I just bought and installed Bitdefender Total Security 2015. I should have seen this coming, because now HEM2 doesn't connect to PostgreSQL. Is there an easy fix for this? If not, I'm just going to return Bitdefender, because I don't feel like dealing with this.

Your computer clock should match your current timestamp in the hands section in active sessions and reports.

if not, open Site setup and make the adjustment.

The formula is Computer clock - Sessions time.

So if your computer clock is January 1 12:00 and your sessions show January 1 5:00, you would add 7 hours.

If your computer clock is behind the Sessions time, you would subtract.

Please send a screenshot of your sessions with computer clock while playing if there is another issue.

Please take and attach a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm

For 8/7/Vista, there is a built-in Snipping Tool in Start - Accessories.

If you continue to have problems, please use the tool in the following link to send a HUD Report - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Reporting+Tool

Please reproduce the problem and attach:
- a screen shot of the table/desktop
- a hand history for the table
- a screenshot of the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock in the picture
- Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager.
- Please send a log file as well - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support572

Please zip and email the requested files to hm2support@holdemmanager.com to let us know that you also sent a hud error report.

If you can not see the 'Waiting for hands...' HUD please try using the Table Finder and then you should be able to use the 'Report a HUD Problem' menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+not+appear572

You can sometimes use that Table Finder tool to attach the HUD to tournaments that don't show the HUD automatically while we work on a fix based on the information sent in your hud error report. If so, you will need to use the Table Finder each time you get moved to a new table.

This is semi-common. There are a lot of security software programs that cause issues. At best, you will need to add a lot of workarounds, at worst, it won't run.

Please see the following guides for postgres related issues.

For issues with postgres:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+#wont-install

To change your folder permissions:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

We also recommend Kaspersky.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and attach your log.txt file.

Please www.7-zip.org the file before attaching it, as sometimes text files can become corrupted as attachments.

XP:
c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager

7/vista
c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\HoldemManager

Enable the option to see Hidden Files and Disable "Hide protected operating system files": http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+ - It should look like this: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/images/hidden.jpg

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your log.txt file -

Hi,

That is a false positive. The reason is we updated the files recently for Pokerstars fast poker and this often causes firewalls and antiviruses to be suspicious which is a good thing.

As long as you downloaded HM2 through the auto update or from a genuine link from one of our staff there is nothing to worry about, add C:\Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 2\holdemamanager.exe to your exceptions and also C:\Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 2\Blitz.dll and C:\Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 2\StarsCommunicator.hm2 and tell it to ignore it if you get a warning, normally within a day or two security software companies will approve it and the issue will go away.

If you are having problems installing through the auto update then try manually installing using this link http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe
