It happens in the comics, but under different circumstances and it's Carl taking the shot rather than Rosita.

The Spencer scene is straight out of the comics.

One problem with just copying straight out of the comics, as I mentioned before ITT, is that lurid and/or campy scenes (or characters) that work well in a comic book come across overdone/farcical in what's supposed to be a gritty TV show.

I'd worry that we're back to bottle episodes again when the show returns, but since a good number of them have reunited I guess the chances of that are pretty minimal.

I find it really tilting when actors play pool. Negan pots the object ball and cue ball and carries on with the scene.

Wait, what the **** happened in the car with Michonne and the redhead? Red just says, " you should get out here. Oh, and there's a silencer in the glove box in case you want to shoot me."

Was it implied in the car earlier that the redhead was running, like the guy earlier in the season. rather than go back and get the iron ill just die instead.

Rosita getting a cut on that beautiful face is the most emotional moment this show has ever had.

After watching that final shot of the mysterious boots person lurking at night, I fully expect to see Jason Voorhees introduced in February.

Also, despite never seeing King Ezekiel since he was first introduced, I still get a kick out of the fact that the actor for that character is the voice of Cyborg in "Teen Titans Go!"

I keep waiting for him to sing about waffles.

I STILL don't buy Negan. Not a bit. The counter argument to not just sticking a knife in his throat is "his lackeys will kill you on the spot!" or "why did it take so long for anyone ever kill Sadam Hussein while he was a dictator?!" or "blah blah blah."

First of all, his lackeys are absolutely ridiculous. just so comically written and performed... but that's beside the point. i think we've seen just as many people who fear him for some reason. I feel like if Negan fell, everyone would just immediately be like "THANK you. god damn. Finally." but that could just be me, b/c i don't buy a single performance from that group.

and the "he's a dictator" thing is just hilarious. I see people online comparing to friggin Gaddafi or something like it's a similar situation.

the character is so ridiculous. i still don't know what I'm supposed to think of him as a viewer. Is he supposed to be campy/funny/menacing/scary/cool/badass, etc. outside of a funny line here or there, he's none of those things to me.

Negan:

- This group that now hates me for killing two of them? We'll let them go for now.

- Going for the first time to Alexandria, where they have tons of guns? I'll go first and knock on the gates with just my bat.

- Carl tried to kill me? Let's let him live.

- Rosita tried to shoot me? We'll let her live.

- I am a devilishly smart villain.

- And the way I talk and move, like I'm trying way too hard, that makes me charismatic.

I'm pretty sure Negan would have no way of knowing someone made that bullet just by glancing at the casing. The only thing that might give it away would be a second hammer mark, but even so they could have found it scavenging too. Oh well not that it matters.

I haven't watched last 3 eps. This morning Stern was raving how great it has been. I assume he's just ******ed?

A second hammer strike is the only definitive indication of a reload, AFAIK. Rosita could have simply fessed up to pilfering the gun from one of Negan's dead goons and claimed that the round was already in it.

Also, Rick carries a $5000 handgun, apparently having done so since his days as a broke-ass Sherrif's Deputy in rural Georgia.

Negan letting Carl and Rosita live while killing others, while somewhat ******ed, does make a little sense: if someone rebels, kill someone else they care for - that way, it's not just the person rebelling getting hurt/killed.

The whole bullet-hitting-the-bat thing was just ****ing stupid. and why would Negan pick up the casing and study it in the first place?? It'd a ****ing bullet.

Yeah, I mean, if they managed to find another gun, is it a stretch to think they found more bullets, too?

Wouldn't his more logical question have been, "where did you get the ****ing gun?"

The Amazon women are where they will go to get more guns, and presumably some help.
