Watched ~15 episodes of Big Bang Theory, lost interest - not a big fan of the laugh track comedy.

Started Its Always Sunny, almost through season 2 and loving it so far.

On deck:
Sons of Anarchy
The Wire
possibly Supernatural?

Big Brother is must watch for anyone who likes reality shows, it and Survivor are the two best reality shows on TV imo.

New season starts at the beginning of July

Agreed. Used to only watch BB, as I wasn't really a fan of the Survivor premise, but then I watched a season (think it was Cook Islands or Pearl Islands) & realized what I'd been missing. BB All-stars was probably my favorite season of either show, but overall, I think Survivor's a little bit better (sometimes BB eps feel like filler to me). So ya, will be watching.

BB is great if you have DVR. Probably these days they're all up on Hulu or something too.

Anyone catch the pilot for "Persons unknown"? Bunch of ppl kidnapped and left to figure things out in an abandoned town.

Seems like the premise has been done in a few movies that i can think of but i enjoyed the pilot, i do luvvv a good mystery.

i watched it out of sheer nothingness on TV lately, maybe has potential as a cheeseball kitschy mystery but that's about it imo

I just watched the first 2 episodes of the Good Guys on Fox, it's silly humor but the main guy (Bradley Whitford) is hilarious imo.

It's kind of like an 80's cop movie parody.

Freaks & Geeks >>>>> Undeclared imo

Coupling (UK) isn't mentioned here a lot, but i remember it being funny (Until Jeff left the show).. it's worth watching.

Does the whole "4400 being sent back to do good deads & make the world a better place" get any deeper than that? Thats prolly my least favourite part of the show atm.
This show was so good, I wish it didnt get cancelled

Why do people think the ending to 6fu is so fantastic? I watched a couple episodes, then I realized it was essentially a soap and skipped to the end.

Spoiler:
so they all die, big ****ing deal. does the "awesomeness" lie in the fact that the show developed the characters so well that everyone was deeply moved when they died?

Um, developing the characters to the point where you care about them is more or less the point of any intriguing show?

Meaningful character development in context of story >>>>>>>>>>> erection-producing plot twists.

Coupling was a great show, almost entirely because of Jeff.

First 3 seasons of Coupling were very very good. 4th was meh because like people said Jeff left.

I just started Veronica Mars and Im 6 episodes in. It has a Dexter feel to me at times. Im waiting for veronica in some scenes to start "Tonights the Night...."

Im really enjoying it, good stuff so far.

Halfway through ep1 of SOA, does the dialog/acting remain this cheesy throughout the season?

Pilots are barely representative of the direction a show's quality will take.

Thanks for chiming in after 22 minutes though.

Well, I agree with the first sentence but I disagree with the last one. Undeclared is legit funny (though I do have a soft spot for it since I was in college at the time and it does a pretty good job capturing those years). Undeclared is also more of a true comedy than F&G. But F&G might be the most heartfelt show of the last twenty years. Definitely the best "hour long drama that doesn't involve gunfire" of the last twenty years, that's for sure.

And that's why I was asking. Didn't comment on the plot/story, production quality, costumes, cinematography, just the dialog and acting sir. I fully intend on sticking with it through many more episodes based on the reviews it's received. yw btw.

Mikey

A lot of cable shows in there. Sounds like you might like Mad Men. Season 4 starts July 25 so you can probably burn through the first 3 seasons before then.
