Might be the case, but on this season, there have been 6 women voted out and 2 men.

Cassidy also doesn't even know Marianne won Survivor 42 as they were literally on the island filming s43 during its airing.

Not that a sample of two recent past seasons matters (actual total sample is 25 Men 17 women anyways)

Her completely valid grievance is that in actual the current season she is playing;

6 of the 8 boots have been women
2 of the 8 boots men, Geo and Dwight, neither of which bro physical alpha male personality types

As one of only 3 women left in the game she is naturally worried about her position and an all male alliance bro'ing down to run the board.

it was odd to me that they didn't target gabler.

1. isn't a number for the 7
2. isn't a women

that seemed to be the conflict between ryan and jennie and gabler would have satisfied both. Maybe ryan isn't the box of rocks i think he is by throwing out jennie early and letting the dust settle while he isn't there.

Also to the power ranking question, i definitely think carla and jesse seem to be currently sitting in the best spots. The sami convo w/ carla somewhat reconfirmed to me she is #1.
IDK how you could have owen that high, he seems likely to go next ep if he doesn't win immunity.

Cassie may have punched her ticket with her vote. Thought she was in tight with the group, but if she's the sole outlier she either didn't know what was going on, or told people she was voting Ryan for gender reasons.

I'm very disappointed that we won't get to follow the progress of her chin wound anymore.

Have Owen above Karla and Jessie on editing reasons rather than current game positioning.

For what it's worth I have a big gap between the top 3 and the rest of the pack (and have for a while)

Weird move by Dwight to give Jesse the idol

Isn't she the first on the jury?

AND James. Isn't James in charge right now? Him and Karla?

I have to question your editing evaluation skills if you have Owen above Jessie for editing reasons.

Like I said previously the edit typically props up someone as the biggest player of the season. the obstacle that the eventual winner overcomes to win the game. It was Ricard in 41 and Omar in 42

I have been going back and forth on whether that character is Karla or Jesse, but will probably become much clearer in the next episode which is why they have been docked for now. If it becomes clear Jesse is that character, I would then give Karla a big boost.

To your first point i'd also argue that after Noelle, James has the highest chance of not making through this upcoming double boot

Yeah you're right. Won't be quite the same though without the daily updates.

Afraid of a bro alliance? Lmao you know that’s not true. She’s in the strongest alliance in the game right now

I feel like its not out of the question to be wondering why Jesse, Sami, and Cody all jumped from their respective ships to voluntarily take a minority position in the strongest alliance. Also, perhaps she had designs on forming a ho's alliance, and is just lamenting the loss of that pipe dream.

Just got around to watching the most recent episode. Filler central. This is what happens I guess when those with the numbers advantage decide to do the obvious thing, leaving the editors scrambling to get non-anticlimactic footage. I half wonder if the stuff we saw about Ryan was from from before Dwight's vote out.

-Jesse is my favorite player so far this season

-Karla/James seem pretty solid as well

-Gabler is all over the place but I was thoroughly entertained watching him win that immunity challenge while just casually talking throughout what appeared to be a very physically demanding challenge.

-I thought they might be bringing back the Survivor auction for a brief moment while they showed several contestants talking about all the different food they want to eat, but my hopes were dashed.

Yeah, it seemed like more of a strategic effort from her than anything else- maybe a tougher sell given recent history but seems like Survivor 101 to try something like that to pull the direction of the game your way.

Why do something creative and fun when you can just do a pre merge 'obstacle course & puzzle' or a post merge 'balance some thing on a thing' challenge over and over again for eternity
