That was one of the best after credit scenes of the series.

Solid payoff after the credits, I loled. But overall it just felt super self-indulgent and like Harmon's getting up his own ass with meta, right down to that missing fourth wall at the end again where Rick tells us all how the show's gonna go this season.

Also, the idea of the multiverse is cool and all, but I have this sinking feeling they've fallen in love with it and we're gonna start to see 400 different Ricks and Mortys in every single episode and it's gonna get insanely old.

Not the funniest episode imo, but great to have it back. Always a fun watch just for the sheer creativity of it.

I loved it. It was pretty dark though, which people might not like that much. But how Morty was following the death crystal in the craziest, most ruthless ways just to die by Jessica's side was just brilliant. And wow to the after credits. I mean it was pretty obvious that something was foul with this vision. But the hospice thing; "just just say 'I love you', followed by whatever it says on their name tag" - wow. I don't know about you, but I found that pretty original.

And yeah multiverse stuff. That's just what this show does. Doesn't get old for me anytime soon.

Yeah, I'm surprised the episode hasn't been better received on here. I thought it was pretty good and easily a "top half" episode although certainly not among the very best. Excited for a new season.

I mean I think it was funny because it was super on-the-nose and spelled out with no subtlety. They could have gone the route of her just saying "I wanna work in a hospice" and had a slow look of realization creep over Morty's face around the corner (probably preferred by the "It takes a high IQ to appreciate..." crowd), but this is funnier somehow.

Definitely some great moments as always. And the attention to detail is great, I mean they must have had to animate 200 Morty deaths that the average viewer will catch like 5% of out of the corner of their eye. Just not an amazing episode for me, like a 6 maybe. Slightly worrisome since I'd expect them to open big.

Enjoyed the ep quite a bit. Kirkland brand Meseeeks got a good laugh out of me.

+1. Not an all time classic like The Avengers 3 or the one with all the fictional family members like sleepy Gary and ghost in a jar

...and also a bit meta, which then is too much for others... you can't win.

I feel this is one of these under-appreciated episodes. It might not qualify as "big", but it's better than a 6; assuming 10 is the max I would see it as a solid 8. And come on, it's better than Avengers! Maybe it's because this episode didn't make you outright laugh as much others.

btw wasn't this only the 2nd episode that had Meeseeks in it in a more meaningful way than cameos? If I was Rick, and they would make the series based on me being Rick, you would see Meeseeks every ****ing episode!

Plus the episode continues the ongoing theme of Morty's teenage hormones causing major mischief. He let loose a Hybrid Alien super soldier he fathered with a sex robot, because of him using a love serum on Jessica the Earth was Cronenberg'd such that they had to flee to another reality, and now he became Akira because he wanted to die with Jessica. A death that, as we learn in the after credits, would have resulted in him spending only the last few minutes of his life with Jessica, and for which he gave up skinny dipping with her. This is just great stuff.

Really liked it. If you’re into deep dive type stuff I’d recommend finding a YouTube that breaks down all the different death scenes around the edges of the crystal vision. Tons of stuff I missed in those, so much extra animation and story telling just for a side bit.

Rick's toilet planet was great.

The episode brings up a question I always have. Why is Rick's wife not alive in any other universe?

Fun episode, I liked Rick's plot better than the B plot with the app (or was Rick the B plot? Who knows).

Tony's poop heaven Matrix world was great. "Strap-on porn? Yes. I thought it was hot! Come poop with me, Tony."

in the marriage squancher episode where they all go to birdperson's wedding and Rick gives the best man speech he says how he doesn't believe in marriage and couldn't make his work so I don't think it's that she's not alive in any universe it's just they're not together......altho hmmmmmm there should be some universes where he was able to make it work so that doesn't answer the question either.

guess I could delete this post but I didn't think of that till I literally typed it and I've already put so much work into typing all this seems like a waste to delete it.

That show is so good they allways pack so much in every episode that 20 min feel like one hour of content blasted through my head. And the toilet world was gorgeous such an insane improvement over the pilot.

Yeah it's not explained (yet) how most versions of Rick seem to have the same family structure, but we've seen at least one (Doofus Rick) that doesn't have any family at all.
