Just go to Costco or Best Buy and do a quick visual comparison between the TV's. The difference is super obvious.

Granted, A high-end Samsung TV with Quantum-Dot technology is also a great TV. (and also major bucks)

My 4 older TVs are all Samsung but my newest one is a LG 4K TV and besides the design (where I prefer Samsung) I honestly can’t really tell a difference between them. Now my wife suggested to get a new living room TV and move the current one to the bedroom and the current bedroom TV to the kids room. My question where to put a 65” TV in the bedroom is still unanswered though and I am reluctant to get a new living room TV unless there’s major upside to switch from 4K to OLED. I honestly don’t care too much about picture quality.
At the risk of being an obnoxious back-seat parent, I'd suggest not putting a TV in your kids' bedroom.

I did go to Best Buy and couldn’t see any difference between LG and Sony OLED TVs with Sony being way more expensive. QLED looked a tiny bit different but I couldn’t tell if I liked it better or worse. Maybe the Best Buy setup wasn’t optimal?

I agree in general. Situation with our son is a little bit different though.

TV show question: is Luke Cage season 2 worth watching? I kinda liked season 1. Also got stuck in the middle of season 1 of Jessica Jones. Should I finish that and then watch season 2 instead?

Not sure if it’s important but I rely on subtitles to watch Netflix/Prime/Hulu shows because I usually watch on the loud-ish bike trainer and can’t put the volume higher because every one else still sleeps.

S to go along with my new TV, I also got the Logitech Harmony 650 Infrared All in One Remote Control, and holy ****, I don't know how I got along without it.

You can program any button or the screen to do anything you want, from any of your devices. It also just knows just about every device you might have already. If you don't, you just line up both remotes and ZAP, you're synced with whatever button you're pressing.

There are "activities" you can program, and all you do is press the WATCH TV button, for example, and the remote turns on the DVR, TV, and soundbar for you all at once. If I punch in "WATCH A MOVIE, say, it will turn on Netflix immediately...or whatever else you program.

I'm so impressed, I can't wait for my GF to come over. I want to see if I can reprogram her some. Not much, just a little bit.

Flatmate binge-watching clips of Last Week Tonight on YouTube wondering why they don't rename the show Everything Is ****ed with John Oliver.

Not a funny joke but a pretty accurate description of the show's content.

Oh, I think I may have misunderstood you. Yeah it's more of a OLED vs LCD/LED TV type of thing. Your right, the Sony OLED and LG OLED look almost exactly the same.

BTW at home I actually have a Sony LCD mainly because my family room is mostly glass windows on two sides and faces west. It gets blasted with sunlight during most of the day. A OLED TV would perform poorly in these conditions.

i have bunch of different devices (firetv roku blu ray) that all go thru different inputs on my receiver and i just press watch netflix and it changes tv input and receiver input powers on the appropriate device and eliminates need for 5 different remotes its awesome.

I have. Love Bojack, and yes it's an excellent commentary on depression. However, it's different in a number of ways, primarily that Bojack looks more inward into how the past shapes his actions, and how addiction affects his depression.

YTW Is a lot more about how one copes, or doesn't cope with depression. Its more about the clinical nature rather than on how the past specifically affects someone. How it affects the one suffering and how it affects the people around them. S2 is one of my all time favorite seasons of anything. Aya Cash not getting an Emmy nod was a damned travesty.

Btw, You're the Worst is a highest of high recommendation. It starts out as a comedy (much like Bjoack) and morphs into a really serious look at the problems that plague twenty and thirtysomethings. Depression, PTSD, failure and success, relationships, Love and hate. All the while, it's consistently funny. (Much like Bojack.)

Netflix cancelled Marvel’s Iron Fist pretty soon after season 2 was released. I wonder if there’s any other reason besides low viewer numbers, I would have expected them to wait a little longer with an announcement.

Is The Punisher worth it? I liked Daredevil season 1 and 2. JJ s1 meh, luke cage s1 bad, didnt finish. Not even going to try iron fist. But the punisher seems more grounded and i liked him in DD s2. All reviews for all marvel netflix shows are really positive (except iron fist 1) so im not trusting those anymore

Episode 3 of The Good Place was much better than the first 2 this season. Still feels like they have no idea where the plot is going.

It has the best episodes of all the marvel TV shows. It also has a ton of fillers and unnecessary subplots.

I enjoyed The Punisher a lot.

I'd rank them something like

Daredevil
The Punisher

Luke Cage
JJ

Iron Fist
