This is news to me. I understand that we're supposed have at least some sympathy for her, but I think most viewers would still place her firmly in the "villain" camp after her treatment of Ned/Tyrion/reformed Jaime.

Are we sure Jon is getting stabbed this season? Seems like we're running a little short on time. But I will forgive many of the mistake of this season if B&W are baller enough to have the end of ep 10 conclude with Jon lying there bleeding, fade to black.

I think Sansa/Theon Winterfell escape will probably be in there as well, possibly but not necessarily with the aid of Brienne. Not sure if we get to an actual battle at Winterfell, especially with all the SE money going into dragons and harpy statues and such this year.

I'd say the opposite we're supposed to hate her way more in the show, cause we dont have much from her point of view

It's gotta happen this season, most likely in the fashion you describe, because when else would they do it? I guess if Jon really is dead then they could do it ep 9 or next season but that seems super unlikely.

All the talk about the last ep "breaking the internet" makes it even more likely for it to go down exactly like you said imo.

still holding out for Stoneheart in ep10 based on the title and the other hints like hooded woman and the AFFC appendix

Spoiler:
I read that thread. Me theory to add on to that is Jon stabs the Night King with the Obsidian dagger Sam gave him before leaving. It has no effect on the Night King. The Night King kills Jon and rides off with his body. Episode 9 Sam and Gilly flee south after hearing about Jon.

holy crap. that was awesome, and I thought it would have been even without the battle scene. the Tyrion/Danaerys stuff was enough to carry the episode, the Arya stuff was well done as well.

the Hardhome battle was a spectacle, but I actually found the specifics a bit confusing - I guess the fence was between the mountains and the villages? but it seemed like plenty of other people closer to the water felt locked out? I dunno though that was confusing. but the Valyrian steel shattering the White Walker was amazing.

thought Sam's line about Jon "always coming back" was tongue in cheek foreshadowing

Tyrion/Dany scene was amazing. Just as good as the old Arya/Tywin scenes. Insane episode overall.

Awesome episode start to finish. Just perfect. Especially nice to see Tormund doing badass things again.

Tyrion/Dany interaction was great, KL and Braavos too, but man everything with the Night's Watch seemed terrible to me. Both the pointless Hardhome stuff (which took up waaay too much of the ep) and that cringe-worthy Sam/little kid talk.

Not sure if the books are just ruining that stuff for me or if it really is as bad as I think...probably a little bit of both. Just seems they are really smashing us over the head with the kid being the one to kill Jon, and then that Sam line to end it made me ugh big time.

Who was the prominent Wildling woman at Hardhome? Am I forgetting her from the books?

olly scenes were obv the nut low.

jon vs. the other general tho, had me at the edge of my seat. there were some leak comments about him being captured by the night's king, so I thought he really wouldn't make it out of there.

I guess we do have an official book spoiler (very minor grade) now:

Spoiler:
Dragonsteel does in fact = Valyrian Steel

(like we didn't know)

That was fantastic, all around. Love where they're going with the show. But hey, I understand if some of you are disappointed there isn't enough of GRRM's food descriptions and Tyrion and Dany doing nothing for books at a time...

i'd take food descriptions over gilly/sam, grey worm/missandei, sand snakes and olly scenes all day.

Hard to understand the lows of this show when they can came around and do something like this, epic, and I never liked the giants or the skeleton zerging. The duel with the white walker was out of this world good.

That's good, because there are more food descriptions than all of the others you mentioned combined.

The only person I can think of is Harma Dogshead. She is just listed as Wildling Chieftainess on imdb.

Awesome episode, I'm excited for the final two now.
