The Lydia and ricin thing was annoying, but considering probably 6-8x's the normal viewing audience was tuning in, and a decent portion of them might not know the lengthy history of the ricin. That part wasn't for us faithful longtime viewers. It was to not confuse the ones that tuned in just to say they watched the finale. It was just a simple throwaway line, so it's okay.

I marathoned the show from beginning to end and wanted it to end in total disaster for all the characters. For a while in the final season, I thought that might happen. Some characters got harsh endings, but not nearly enough for my preferences.

I would have done something like this.

Jesse: Meth cook slave indefinitely, eventually murdered
Skyler: Convicted and imprisoned for money laundering, etc.
Hank: Murdered, buried in desert never to be found (along with Gomez)
Marie: loses Hank and Skyler
Flynn/Walt Jr.: Forever hating his parents, possibly a meth addict
Holly: meth addict, possibly the new "Wendy"
Saul: murdered? imprisoned? either will do
Mike: murdered by Walt was good

Walt: cancer survivor; lives long life in prison knowing what he's done to everyone he cares about; possible final scene of series is adult Holly (meth head new "Wendy") visiting him in prison

Of course, Walt's kids never get any money. It can be entirely stolen by the Nazis. Or, the final barrel can be kept by Elliot and Getchen or stolen by Skinny Pete and Badger.

Yeah, really disappointed we didn't see Holly have to suck dick for meth, that little bitch had it coming

Thats along the lines of what I dreaded. I figured for Jesse, it might've been more like he tries to escape one more time, or he refuses to cook, or something like that, then they kill Brock right in front of him then he kills himself. The rest are close enough.

It was an awesome show; one of my top three. I think the numerous huge threads in these forums that are full of gushing praise are a good indicator of how much people love Breaking Bad. However, that doesn't mean it's perfect.

Why shouldn't we discuss the things we didn't like, in addition to the aspects we loved?

people who post stuff like STOP DISCUSSING THE SHOW in discussion threads are the absolute nut worst

just finished watching, marathoned the last 8 episodes last night. I'm sure I'm probably overlooking something, but one question I have:

Walt made the confession tape where he pinned everything on Hank, and this seemed to thwart Hank from further investigating(especially due to him having paid for Hank's hospital bills). Then once Jesse ratted out Walt and Walt lead them to his money stash, Hank attempted to arrest Walt- but I don't understand why the confession tape wasn't still preventing Hank from doing so. Couldn't Walt just be like "yes there was a stash of money there, but like I said in the tape, Hank was behind it all and made me do it"? What evidence did Hank have that negated the effects of the confession tape?

Jessie ' s testimony.

but they specifically mentioned that the testimony of a druggie would never hold up vs the testimony of an upstanding citizen who is dying of cancer, right? If Jesse's testimony was all that was needed, then why did they need to have Walt lead them to the money stash in order to make the arrest? What did the money stash change about the situation that then allowed them to make the arrest?

Was there a phone conversation? What did Walt say?

Yeah Walt confessed everything whilst driving desperately towards the desert. Presumably that convo was recorded.

Yes that was it. Jessie goaded him into saying everything while he was rolling out to the desert. I assume if Walt doesn't spill there that Hank takes him in and hopes for the best

Saul's new series is set in the past.

The whole Better Call Saul series is a prequel to Breaking Bad. We probably will never see Walter, Skyler, etc.

I think I read something along the lines that it will be a PP&F in regards to BrBa.

There's got to be a cameo or something right? Bumps into Walt in the grocery store aisle or something before he becomes Saul?

Meh, maybe too cheesy. Looking forward to the series though.

Last season of BCS could catch up to BrBa and show what happens to Saul afterward.

In past interviews the producers of Better Call Saul have indicated that the story time line may jump all over the place.
