I love the song! I wasn't that excited about BCS by what I had seen of it up until now, but that vid has me fired up about it now.

Seriously. That hand clap at 1:35 has me on the edge of my seat, can't wait to see Saul pull his **** in front of a judge.

When the kid started to drive away you could hear the train whistle in the background. Also really enjoying the 'Binge Bonus' spoiler material. What an awesome show.
+1

Re-watching it all lets you catch all the hidden symbolism in the show.
Ex. - The color shirt each individual wears, especially Walt and Skyler, is symbolic.

Ditto.

So what's the OOTV standard for a show getting its own thread? Or is there a standard? I'm hoping that the Better Call Saul thread ends up being long and enjoyable.

i'm not sure what this even means. of course it will get it's own thread and it doesn't matter if that happens now or later.

It's ok, some people are just bad people. Better to make peace with it now

"For all the Breaking Bad fans there will be a lot of twists and turns. I won’t spill the beans too much, but it is going to force you to go back and check out things that happened in Breaking Bad to make sure you were clear about what you saw back then."

Me thinks Vanity Fair seriously underestimates the level of analysis that was done on 2 + 2

oh boy. My understanding was that Better Call Saul wasn't even using Bob Odenkirk, and was just going to be a lame comedy spinoff. If they're actually going to do it properly and reference events before, during and after the Breaking Bad story then it has the potential to be absolutely amazing. Or a huge disappointment, of course. But still, yay!

Not 100% sure but i believe it gets even better: the show could also be about the rise of Gus !

Is Huell in it? It would be so brilliant if they just cut to him sitting in that room every now and then.

No idea. Ive heard about the rise of Gus only once, never again, which is pretty confusing given that potentially, rise of Gus >>>>>>> Better call Saul story wise.

I guess both is even better tho \o/

It's still Vince Gilligan or not? Guess he won't jump the shark from the beginning since he ought to make some more interesting shows in the future.

oh man there should be a separate Mike spinoff. And the Adventures Of Badger and Skinny Pete.

I did not expect to be anything approaching excited for the Better Call Saul show. I need to start managing my expectations!

Wow, great stuff. Yeah, this is what I was referring to. The color shirt each character wears throughout the show is symbolic of a particular theme or idea. (I.E. - Walt wears a lot of green early on; green and greed go hand in hand/Hanks wife always wears purple, which can represent a number of things).

Season 3, Gus Fring offers a $10,000 reward for any information wrt to the case. This is right after Hank got shot. Uh, what case? I mean one of the cousins died and the other is a hospital bed.

So long ago but obviously these cousins weren't lone wolves right, the DEA (correctly) assumed that there were cartel connections?

I'm rewatching with a friend of mine who has never seen it (lucky mofo) which is fun to get some vicariousness through their first time on my favorite moments.

And yeah, Jesse bounces between infuriating and endearing so often in the older days.

The original plan was for jesse to die either at the end of s1 or early in 2, but they decided that he was so good for the show that they broadened the character and made him less annoying
