Technically, that's true.

There is a degree of uncertainty as to why his alias is Heisenberg
06-19-2010 , 07:07 PM
Walt's alias is Heisenberg because he's always wanted to be a bad-ass, take-charge, unpredictable kind of guy. He wants to be feared as a loose cannon.

I own one of these. I was watching with two of my friends/former roommates and seeing Gayle using it gave us some comic relief in the sad scene where we see how pleasant/harmless/quirky he is one last time before he gets got.

I have a feeling your sense of irony and mine are not getting through to one another

Ditto, this is going to be a long wait........

I know the big topic is whether or not Jesse shot Gale. I'm about 98% he did but I wouldn't put it past the writers to throw a curve ball, even with the creater's interview. My one thought is the scene with Gus at Gale's apartment earlier, could he have been there again? I don't think they would kill off Jesse though, at least not until the end. Also Walt knows where Gus lives....lot of options.

I don't know if this has been brought up yet but it appears that season 4 will not air until next summer, not March as it has always been.

It isn't (shouldn't be) a topic. He shot him. Case closed.

I mean, I think I got the pun, it's just funny to me that there actually isn't a whole lot of uncertainty as to why he does it-- I mean what really motivates him from within-- if you pay attention.

Look, I'm pretty sure the reason for the final scene was to show how dark the path Walt's initial decision has taken him, how he has corrupted Jesse's humanity in a permanent way, not to leave us speculating over whether a camera trick created a cheap twist.

This show has never cheated like that before. If Jesse didn't shoot Gale, it will be the dumbest, lamest cop out ever. My respect for the show will go down about 17 notches.

There's no point in not having Jesse kill the guy. He isn't a main character. His being alive is not essential to the plot. So if Jesse didn't kill him, not only did the show do the cheesiest ******ed cliffhanger on us, but they won't get to mine the dramatic potential of Jesse and Walt dealing with what they've done.

What has this show ever done in the past that makes you think they did a cheap ******ed cliffhanger trick? This isn't Lost. Gale is dead. He better be.

At this point the Gilligan interview should be mandatory, he basically said that Gale was killed and he never intended the final scene to have a double meaning.

it's more than just this though.

if jesse didn't shoot gale, mike will get to gayle's and see he's alive, then he will just go back to Walt and kill him, series over.

Watched the first two seasons and skimmed like the first 1k posts, which got me up to the end of the first two seasons of commenting. Mainly a lot of bitching about the ending of the season 2 finale. I personally enjoyed it and I'm guessing the writers tied everything up nicely in the 3rd season... can't wait to start watching that one. BB and dexter are the two best shows on tv currently...
06-21-2010 , 07:36 PM
I seriously can't believe that people are questioning whether or not Jesse shot Gale. And here I thought I was a pessimistic person, but I actually tend to overestimate the intelligence of others...

(for those who aren't leveling, but even that is annoying at this point)

The thing that pisses me off about this show is that I have to wait like a year to see season 4. I wish I had waited until the series was over to start watching it like I usually do with TV shows. Damnit.
