I've got 2 eps left in season 3 and I've been holding off on them.

Not that I'll do it, but I almost want to do another marathon.

its really terrible quality on DTV + its nice to just bang out the whole series in a few days, waiting a week for each new episode is so brutal.

prolly won't have the will-power to hold out tho, FU dtv.

how many of you are currently re-watching seasons 1-3 in anticipation?
Yeah I had DTV last year and the same problem, not that that kept me from watching it live. There are ways to get HD episodes online, though.

***IMPORTANT QUESTION***

I am considering watching/showing season 1 dvd to a relative.

I am worried he won't like it because: he is a chemist who is paid 6 figures.
If you are a succesful chemist phd, does the chemistry in the show detract from it/ make you say ugh like for instance the poker in casino royale detracts from the viewing experience for a poker player?

I am rewatching the show now in anticipation for S4. Great stuff.

Unless you want to mess with Tuco and his cousins, I wouldn't introduce it to your cousin - he'll be cooking up the blue stuff in no time!

I'm not a chemist, but as far as I know the stuff they depict is accurate, and it doesn't go so far in depth that it could risk being a distraction to anyone who is an actual chemist.

yeah you're probably right. I didn't really think this would be a problem, but I was just wondering seeing as I of course am a first year college drop out who knows less about chemistry than season 1 jesse.

I doubt this show would inspire any chemist making 6 figs anywhere to take up a methlab.

just make sure to tell him that there are very few chemistry saves the day moments in the remainder of the show after he tells you about the loltastic (chemistry wise) fulminated mercury scene. I can think of one after that, when they are stuck in the desert and walt builds a battery.

I'm sure inconsistencies have been discussed, but here's a small one. In season 3 ep 8 or 9, there's an assembly line of workers putting bags of meth in the Pollos batter. I was thinking, "how could there be so many low level workers knowing about the operation?" Then one or two eps later in the fly episode, Jesse bitches about not having helpers/waterboys as he scrubs equipment.

I think the biggest "How could Hank not figure it out?" moment is when he called Walt for Jesse info about the RV, then Jesse immediately scrambles straight to the RV.

not an inconsistency imo. The lab is Walt's and he wouldn't want any low level guy touching anything. Jesse is just whining.

I think you are confused here. What you mention didnt happen as you described. Jesse scrambles to the rv after badger calls him in a completely different scene. It wasn't like right after hank talked to Walt

You're prob right about the lab. You're def wrong about the rv thing.

Around what timestamp of which episode was this? I'll rewatch...I know it was def badger who called at least, not Walt
06-23-2011 , 11:23 AM
season 3 ep 6 about 28min in. I know Badger told Jesse where they were going, which is after walt talks to saul for 1min then drives to the rv park, but it seems to me it may have taken like 30min max between Hank/walt convo and jesse rushing to the RV. Hank would have to be ******ed to not know what happened there...
06-23-2011 , 12:02 PM
Hank calls Walt. Walt gets ready to call Jesse but thinks better of it. Walt and Badger go to the impound lot. Walt drives the RV to the junkyard. Badger calls Jesse. Jesse leaves for the junkyard. Hank follows Jesse.

This is what happens.

nutsflopper I think you're mistaken -- in fact, Walt gets super pissed when Badger runs and tells Jesse about Walt being at the impound lot. Because he knows if Jesse comes he will lead Hank right to him.

But your point remains that on the same day Hank calls Walt about the RV, Jesse runs to the RV. However, Hank hadn't been staking out Jesse for all that long, so as far as he knows Jesse could run to that RV every couple days, in which case the Walt conversation isn't even a coincidence.

What am I mistaken about? I know Walt got pissed at that.....?? Anyways, Jesse sure races out of his driveway yelling on the phone as if he just got some news and goes to the RV. Maybe that happens every couple days, idk.

The timeline: Hank/Walt call about RV, the 5 sec Jesse hangup, 1min call to saul, the drive to the first lot, yelling for 1min. Badger calls Jesse when Walt turns his back to go to 2nd lot, Jesse blasts out the door on his phone to go to RV. Total time I spent on this argument; too much.

Whole post has potential spoilers for next season.

Spoiler:
Based on Cranston's interview where he mentioned a major character possibly dying early on, the trailer definitely is more than hinting it will be Gus. Reading the interview though, it seemed like Cranston was hinting as Jesse. I don't know what to think. Wish I had seen more trailers before the other seasons to judge how misleading they are in general.

The only main characters that could be killed and maintain the show in my opinion are Gus, Mike or Saul.

Someone please add input. I know I'm probably missing some important detail as it's been a while from last season and I've forgotten lots.

This is pretty much what happens.

I bought season 3 Monday and finished last night. I think I watched this ep Tues night.

Hank calls Walt and asks about Jesse's RV

Walt call Jesse....hangs up saying nothing

Walt calls Saul, the Lawyer

Walt goes into the junk yard and starts handling sh*t

Badger calls Jesse to tell him what's up....Jesse rolls out.

I see no problem with Hank not connecting it.

I LOVED season 3 but the one part I nit-pick is Jesse stealing Meth from the lab to sell on the street. He's making $1.5M in 3 months. What can he make on that small quantity of meth? It's 40K a pound....so maybe he makes 200K tops in 3 months...then has to kick some to Pete and Badger. A sober Jesse wouldn't make that decision and take that risk. All he cares about is $$.

Anyway, ridiculously excited for July 17th
